Great Skirt, Best Service
We had ordered a skirt in a usual size S but unfortunately it turned out to be a tad large. The whole exchange process was super seamless, the skirts were despatched, picked up for return, and replaced in a vert short period of time. I have had my share of interaction with customer service but no one has yet managed the responsiveness of the Turn Black team. The skirt of course is fabulous!

Finally Refunded After Legal Escalation
Final Update: I have finally successfully received my refund after formal demands were issued to the company. Even after issuing the refund, they requested that I remove this review to protect their online reputation, which I am not going to do. The company will need to open a dispute with to remove the review. Domestic and International customers need to be aware of this level of disorganization and the poor customer service practices of their team. I formally requested a complete cancellation while the order was still in the pre-fulfillment stage, as they notified me that they were unable to manufacture the product to my specified requirements. They refused a refund under a restrictive "final sale" policy that only applies to returns. The site, as of July 25th, 2026, is still non-compliance to the legal standards of E-commerce laws. Yes, Section 2(47) of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 applies directly to businesses in India. - Under Section 2(47) of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the failure to clearly and conspicuously disclose restrictive "final sale" or "no refund" terms at the exact time of purchase constitutes an unfair trade practice. A consumer cannot be bound by hidden restrictive terms that were not explicitly displayed prior to payment completion. - If a business in India fails to fix a defective product, refuse a valid refund, or correct an unfair trade practice, they face severe legal action, heavy financial penalties, and potentially jail time. Ignorance of these requirements is not a defence. After I escalated the matter by issuing a formal legal notice demanding an immediate refund for unfulfilled goods—which violates basic consumer protection laws both internationally and in India—the merchant initially chose to ignore what was written on the formal legal notice and move forward with manufacturing anyways; which is going against my wishes. It is concerning that customer service energy is directed at managing their online reputation rather than addressing valid legal demands or resolving the core issue. I will no longer support this business, and I want to ensure potential customers have complete transparency before purchasing. Poor customer service, an unorganized team, and a troubling ignorance of domestic and international e-commerce laws mean buyers are left unprotected. I advise shopping elsewhere.
