My experience
Very helpful. And informative. Gave several options so you could make a choice which suited you most. I had made the right decision as my experience in the hospital and with my surgeon was absolutely amazing. The hospital was extremely clean. The food was really nice. I would highly recommend as I can not fault a thing. Everything ran smoothly and was well organised and professional.

Excellent personal service from the start of…
The personal service from the start of the process. I was unsure about going to Turkey for my tummy Tuck. But using Bookimed was the best thing I did. Smooth process from start to finish. Peguy who was my coordinator was always there to answer any of my questions. I chose Lokman Hekim hospital for the procedure. I couldn’t be happier with the service.

Please be very careful when booking…
Please be very careful when booking surgery with this doctor through medical tourism agencies. This doctor works with a medical tourism agency called Bookemid, and I had an extremely disappointing and stressful experience after arranging my rhinoplasty through them. I contacted Bookemid from the United States and discussed the entire surgery package with them. They sent me written confirmation stating that Professor Dr. Doğan would perform my rhinoplasty in Ankara on August 17. Based on that confirmation, I traveled all the way to Turkey expecting to have my surgery performed by the doctor I had been promised. However, after I arrived in Ankara, checked into the hotel, and went to the hospital the following day, I was taken to meet a completely different doctor whom I had never agreed to have perform my surgery. Based on the information I was given and found at the time, this doctor appeared to have only very recently completed his medical training. This was obviously very different from the experienced professor I had specifically booked and traveled to Turkey for. Even more surprisingly, I was then told that Professor Dr. Doğan was not in Ankara and was practicing in Istanbul, despite the written confirmation I had received before my trip. I had also personally messaged the doctor before traveling to Turkey. My messages were seen, but I did not receive a response. I traveled internationally based on the written information and confirmation provided to me. After arriving, I felt that I was being pressured into accepting a completely different surgeon from the one I had agreed to. This experience caused me significant stress, wasted time, and put me in an extremely difficult position after I had already traveled to another country for surgery. I am posting this review to warn other international patients: if you are booking through Bookemid or any other medical tourism agency, get the surgeon’s identity in writing and confirm directly with both the doctor and the hospital before traveling. Do not rely only on what the agency tells you. I have kept the written confirmation, conversations, and other documentation related to my experience.
