Great experience with Rust server hosting
After looking into a few web hosting companies, I decided to go with Citadel servers for my rust server and haven't looked back since. The team has been incredibly helpful and supportive with the changes I have been trying to make on my server and I am quite pleased with the level of assistance I have been receiving. I appreciate the convenience of having support at any time of the day, especially since it is my first time hosting my own server. I frequently ran into road blocks which the chat support team politely and promptly handled. Overall, I feel that the value for money is great and would recommend Citadel servers to anyone looking to host a server for the first time.

❌ Paid for Premium Support, Left with an Unplayable, Crashing Server for 3 DaysRating: I purchased a 30-slot DayZ server alongside their premium support fee and a High-Priority flag on Thursday Aug13. The agreement was clear: I paid upfront for their team to handle the heavy manual configuration files and setup specifications so the server would be ready to play. It has now been 3 full days, and the service delivery has been absolutely atrocious. For 72 hours, the daytime team did nothing but run an automated mod download to dump raw files onto the hard drive, completely neglecting the actual configuration work I paid them to do. My high-priority ticket was left completely abandoned with a 9-hour blackout without a single update or response from staff. To make matters worse, when I tried to manually boot the server to at least test the basic mod settings, the server was stuck in a fatal backend boot crash loop because the technicians failed to properly configure the master startup command line parameter (-mod=). I opened a Live Chat to get an immediate fix, only to be fed incorrect excuses about the file directories by the agent on shift, who then completely ghosted the chat window for over two hours while my server sat dead in a 20 GB data verification crash loop (Error 0x00040074 due to missing signature keys). This company is completely happy pocketing your premium installation fees upfront, but they will completely abandon your ticket, ignore your contract, and ghost you in live chat the second the configuration requires actual technical work. Avoid this host if you are running a modded server—their premium support option is a total trap.

I decided to go with Citadel with hosting my Arma 3 dedicated server after hearing great reviews. I initially had trouble setting up the server due to my own inexperience, breaking a few things on my end. So I decided to make a ticket. Luckily the support agents were quick to respond with relevant information, and in a day I had a professional response in which the technician troubleshooted my server and removed some broken mods that I had added, even providing screenshots from the Arma 3 Launcher Client to illustrate their points, and even going so far as to make a few changes to aid server stability. Majorly majorly impressed with Citadel's support.
