My card details were used without my authorization to set up a VirtualDJ subscription I never signed up for, billed through FastSpring. When I contacted support with all the transaction details needed to look it up, they told me there’s no account under my name - and instead of investigating further, just kept repeating a scripted response telling me to contact my bank. If your payment system can’t verify who’s actually signing up for a subscription, and your support team won’t investigate even when handed everything needed to trace the charge, that’s a real problem for anyone whose card details get compromised. Frustrating and completely unhelpful experience.

I would have given VDJ five stars after using this software for 20 years, BUT, when Atomix went to monthly subscription to use their software I had to take two stars away. I might as well pay a subscription for Rekordbox, another hedge-fund-owned scam formerly known as Pioneer and now called "AlphaTheta," cashing in on bedroom DJ's. I say this having already a license for a controller, which to their credit they grandfathered in so I didn't lose it when they went to the Dark Side. I was just about to pay $100 USD for a lifetime license my other controller when SHEBANG! they changed the business model (like every other grifting hedge-fund-owned company) to subscription only. Yes you can pay over $350 (plus about $50 tax!) for a "ProFinity" license, but with the other excellent free options out there (such as DJUCED and MIXXX, which are great, and Serato Lite, which works with my controllers), why bother? Atomix has contaminated their brand with a hedge-fund type of subscription, when they were, in my opinion, the best option out there. No more!

This company is a total disappointment. They operate behind automated walls that leave users feeling completely ripped off. In 2012, my parents worked incredibly hard to buy me a brand-new controller bundled with a legitimate VirtualDJ LE7 license. That setup wasn't cheap—it cost 400 Euros at the time, which was a massive investment for my family just to make me happy.Just two days ago, I found the controller in my house and wanted to use it to make mixtapes for my own enjoyment. I wanted to see if VirtualDJ is worth it today, but when I tried to activate the license, their activation system wouldn’t accept it.What makes me even more furious is the complete lack of transparency and misleading forms on their website. Their official registration page explicitly states: "If your controller came with a VirtualDJ OEM license number, enter it here:" However, they completely omit the fact that they have quietly dropped support for older keys like LE7. It traps you into thinking your hardware license is still valid, only to reject it without explanation. If your system no longer supports these bundled OEM licenses, you need to explicitly state that upfront instead of misleading people into a dead end.Support’s disappointing excuse? It’s a "legacy, unsupported version." They have completely deactivated the validation systems for software my family rightfully paid for, seemingly just to push users into their expensive modern subscription ecosystem.Instead of helping me transfer the key away from an old, lost family email, their support team tried to turn the blame back on me—a 13-year-old teenager just trying to use family gear to make mixtapes for fun. They completely ignored my physical proof-of-purchase photos and immediately hit me with a generic, copy-pasted sales pitch to buy an expensive new license. This absolute lack of flexibility for a family's long-term loyalty is highly discouraging.Their pricing models and corporate approach are completely unreasonable. Expecting people to pay a massive 300 Euro upfront fee or a costly monthly subscription just to use a physical controller that was already bought and paid for feels like pure exploitation.Do yourself a massive favor and look into alternative software. Go use Mixxx or Serato Lite instead. Mixxx is completely open-source, 100% free, has zero restrictions, and actually respects the DJ community with an entirely free pricing model. VirtualDJ's current business model of restricting legacy hardware functionality behind a steep paywall is a terrible user experience. Absolutely awful customer service.I am fully expecting a direct apology or a working solution for completely wasting my time and treating a long-term family customer like a cash cow. Do not use this software.

Auch nicht für Geld. Unclaimed ist fair. Claimed gibt das Mikrofon — nicht den Radiergummi.
