It's absolutely useless
It's absolutely useless. In a nutshell, it takes your AI generated article and replaces words with other, similar words that make the content sound much less human than it did originally. It might pass an AI detector, but it messes with the tone and context of your sentences to the point where the results are not something you'd want someone to read. Ironically, I signed up because AI recommended this service to me as the most effective. Of course, AI can make mistakes and this was certainly one! If only I'd read these reviews before spending my money. I found it so ineffective that I immediately cancelled my subscription and I've asked for a refund. I very much doubt i will get one, based on other comments here. I view this as a scam. Other points to note: When I created an article with chatgpt and pasted it in to Walter, Walter detected the article as 100% human. I pasted the same article into GPTZero and it said it was 100% created with AI. So if Walter doesn't even know if your article was Ai generated, how is it going to be of any use? Well, it isn't. it sucks!

Not magic but for sure worth it
tbh, it does work but I would a 100% use basic as the setting for humanizing (for academic work) and you have to refresh it a lot sometimes to get something that matches your actual work. It takes some time to alter it to still get the quality you need. That being said. This still helped me a lot, in combination with gptzero as an extra checker. I understand the negative feedback but you cannot expect magic from a tool like this if the best AI tools not even can fix the issue of humanizing/bypassing AI. it would have been 100% worse if I had to do this all manually it atleast gives a very good base if you refresh a couple of times

Does NOT work
It does NOT work as intended since it barely changed anything and does not avoid AI patterns even though on their website says it passed AI detectors like GPTZero, if you go and test it there it does not pass at all (100% AI). It also started hallucinating after around 2-3k words used. Do not recommend it.

Convoluted account deletion; waste of time
Edit: The company has flagged my review as defamatory, when all the information I've provided is correct. I've added extra clarification in case something was unclear, but none of it is defamatory. The 1-star review firmly stays; this is not acceptable behavior from any company. I am simply a random customer who does not like how they handle their service and customer support, and wrote a review accordingly. I have added clarification to my review in case some of it is ambiguous, but none of what I say below is defamatory. I have written many reviews over the years (on different websites as well), and this has never happened to me before. Once you make an account, there's no option to delete it anywhere in the settings. You have to contact the support, which is a bot. The bot will ask the last 4 digits of your card, but if you never paid, then you have no 4 digits to provide. So deleting your account (through the bot; no human responds in the chat if you ask for a human) is locked behind providing your credit card details at least once, even if you never wanted to pay. If you request a human, no one responds. You have to email manually, i.e. go to their main website, find their support email, and manually email them, just to delete your account. You can't change your associated email address either. They also claim that it takes up to 30 DAYS to remove your account - something that in most services is an instantaneous one-click affair done easily from your settings. Once emailed, I received the same automated bot email requiring last 4 digits of my card. I refused and said I never used a card. Only then, they suddenly got back to me quickly (finally not requiring anything except my email), but the point is that users should not have to go through all these hoops just to delete their account. A lot of tech companies today are getting too used to providing bad customer service and badly set up bots, wasting time of users. Their bot is set up badly, requiring info it shouldn't from trial users that never used a card, and they are mad I called it out, which I have the right to do. Deleting an account should be a one-click feature like it is for many other services. Moreover, they informed me that if you never pay, your account automatically expires 3 days after the trial runs out, but they never state this anywhere when you go to delete your account, again wasting users' time. And they reiterated it takes up to 30 days for full deletion. Why do they need to hold onto my data, which was used to only have a trial run of their service, for up to 30 days? Again, it's all just a waste of time. They then pursued my review by asking for identification and then claiming I defamed them. I've never seen any other company do this in my life. Clearly there are many other negative reviews of them on about their customer service.
