Hardly three days ago I send funds to…
Hardly three days ago I send funds to Kenya through mobile banking, the transaction took more time than it should, after 45 minutes they send me an email saying that my transaction had been cancelled! I emailed them but unfortunately I got no response. Three days later WorlRemit representative gave me a call in regards to my review on , NOT because of my missing funds but on my negative report and my experience the worst thing was that the WorldRemit representative went on and GAVE ME FALSE REASON as to why my transaction was cancelled! She claimed that my account had exceeded the allowed limit, WHICH WAS TOTALLY UNTRUE! WorldRemit is CRUMBLING WATCHOUT ONE MIGHT LOOSE THEIR HARD EARNED CASH! I am still waiting for WorldRemit to refund my money, seven bank working days!

A few months ago I created an account with Worldremit, because apparently it was the easiest and cheapest way to send money to Africa. Little I knew that I was making a big mistake. I successfully made a few transactions until last month when I did two transactions of 3k and the money was put on hold. No one contacted me I was the one who tried to get in touch with the costumer service. They finally replied a couple of days later and asked me to send proof of funds, which I peacefully sent to them. Apparently the proof wasn’t enough so I had to send more information but honestly at that point I was so frustrated so I decided to cancel both transactions. Once again it wasn’t immediately but then they approved the cancellation and refunded my money straight to my account. I thought my nightmare was over, but suddenly I received a notification from my bank confirming two payments of 3k to worldremit. I don’t understand how’s that possible. How can worldremit simply remove 6k from my account without my permission? This was last month I’m still fighting to get my money back as I’m typing this review. Please stay away from them! I know it will take a long time but I will have my money back someday. Case number 18615383

This is what you should expect when…
This is what you should expect when using WorldRemit, not for every transaction to be fair, but just be aware: they will hold your payment for 10 days to confirm and reconfirm information you already told the customer service many times. Their “local partner” will ask you to fill out a form that should have been asked when you placed the order but they will send you the form probably 5 days after you placed the order. Then, their “local partner” will take 3 days to simply review the form, and they will make WorldRemit call you to confirm the same information that is already on the form. WorldRemit will call you after 3 days, if you don’t answer the call (that is totally redundant) they will delay your payment even more. It will take an extra day for your payment to be processed, if it is a Friday then it will be processed only on Monday, because WorldRemit will call you at 4pm to confirm the same information shown on the form but their “local partners” only process payment until 3pm. WorldRemit doesn’t have any control over the transactions, it’s all under their “local partners” control, so they don’t know which forms are required or when it will be required.
