Absolute broken garbage.
Absolute broken garbage. Bring back the editing system from 5-6 years ago. People want drag and drop not drag and see where it wants to go and god help you if you want to align some text or a button in a column in a container.

Literally the only things that slowing down my site is the fact that Astra interferes with my page speed plugin; and these 4 useless ass code blocks: Maximum critical path latency: 620 ms Initial Navigation --- - 224 ms, 28.71 KiB …minified/frontend.min.js?ver=4.13.1(----) - 525 ms, 5.79 KiB …minified/main.min.css?ver=4.13.1(dev.soriabio.com) - 412 ms, 8.51 KiB /css?family=Courier+Prime%3A400&display=swap&ver=4.13.1(fonts.googleapis.com) - 238 ms, 1.11 KiB …v11/u-450q2lg….woff2(fonts.gstatic.com) - 620 ms, 11.72 KiB …minified/menu-animation.min.css?ver=4.13.1(-----) - 408 ms, 0.68 KiB …block-library/style.min.css?ver=6.9.4(----) - 411 ms, 14.87 KiB And if we go down a level you get CHAINED requests that completely screw your site speed. It's basically forcing me to use Courier Prime instead of regular courier because if I use system fonts system fonts don't render correctly - if I upload them manually to my file manager - they still don't work. The template forces you to call to Google Font's API which is awful for mobile optimization. After installing my fonts in the file manager so I could just avoid Google Fonts API altogether, Astra's dumb theme would just pick and choose which fonts and when they would render (completely erratic behavior.) I also can't change the SIZE of my H1 - it's stuck at 15px. All I get are stupid ads telling me that to fix these things I need to upgrade. The Top Nav Menu literally has a mind of its own. The ONLY thing I could code that worked was my footer - and it only worked on my homepage. On my blog posts it changed the alignment and made it look completely unprofessional. "UPGRADE TO DESIGN A FOOTER." Get tf out of here. You'll never see a penny from me, because that's deceptive marketing. You are trying to force me to upgrade in exchange for BASIC site performance and functionality; and to be able to use a drag and drop footer rather than my own code - FAT CHANCE. I've never had this much difficulty adding my own code to a theme. I didn't think anything could be worse than trying to code on Blogger.. but here we are. I even tried the Drag and Drop editor, disabled all my Chrome extensions, tried it in Firefox, removed ALL my custom code, disabled the two other basic plugins i have and nothing helps. Can't fix my nav menu or footer, can't customize my branding. This is just another subscription service trap. I will write my own code and have ChatGPT fix it for me and never upgrade or recommend upgrading to my clients.

Astra Pro Website Plugin
Astra Pro. Excellent experiences. Contacted them several times in the last year 2025-2026 with problems regarding the performance of the Plugin but also difficulties I was having with screen displays when using Astra Pro. On every occasion I experienced speedy, positive responses. Consistently timely replies, plus considerable technical skills from agents . Their manner was courteous and understanding of my sometimes lack of knowledge. Overall, I consider the costs well spent

I'm no developer but I launched my first website the other day. I had trouble using Astra theme for customization. I'm not sure it's a skill issue or my pc just can't work with it. I decided to switch to another theme instead and was able to make changes smoothly.
