Real easy for a non technical person
On February 25, 2026. After months of spotty internet connections and weeks of trying to figure out why my laptop refused to connect with the internet I tried this USB stick that I had bought last year or so back. I, not having any real knowledge of technology, tried this stick. I turned on my laptop and saw no internet connection. I placed the XtraPC into the USB port and went to file explorer to double tap the application file. When I did this a dialog box appeared with lots of instructions telling me that i had to disable secure boot and instructed me to print the page. I was unable to print the page and tried my memory instead. My mind isn't as good as it was when I was younger and i quickly forgot the second step. So I entered into the search field on the task bar, how do I disable the secure boot and another dialog box appeared. This dialog box stated that to boot from a flash drive or USB stick I had to click the advanced button that was highlighted. Upon doing this the computer restarted and i got another box that read i am about to disable microsoft security with a warning and a highlighted "ok" box which i clicked on. Then i received another popup asking if i wanted to make changes to my computer and i clicked yes. Upon doing this the computer continued the restart process and once I was back into the browser I saw I was connected to the internet. Viola.. easy peasy. All those confusing instructions skipped and I was able to do everything I had to do without any issues. I don't know if I booted from the usb stick or not but I do know I had no internet connection issues after doing this. This was the easiest day I had in months. Thank you XtraPC

Spent over 1.5 hours with no success.
Spent over 1.5 hours trying to get my Acer laptop to boot from this usb device with no success. I received error messages, did research on Acer's website and made various required changes. Eventually I was able to get my laptop to not boot from the internal SD device and boot from the usb drive. My laptop said "no boot device found." At this point I quit and put the xtra-pc drive back into it's packaging. There was nothing else left for me to try. I will be calling the company tomorrow to see if they have some magic tricks to suggest. So far this has been a waste of money.

Wat Xtra-PC belooft is te mooi om waar te zijn ..
Wat Xtra-PC belooft is te mooi om waar te zijn en .... dat is het ook. Waarom: - het is niet meer dan een Linux-OS met wat apps op een bootable USB-stick. Alle software op de stick is gratis verkrijgbaar en een handige jongen maakt dat zelf, - je blijft gebruik maken van de processors en beschikbaar geheugen op je (oude) systeem die bepalend blijven voor de te behalen prestaties, - booten vanaf USB is zeer traag waardoor het opstarten lang duurt, - Linux en Linux apps werken net anders dan vergelijkbare Windows apps, daar moet je aan wennen, - let op: de bestaande Windows applicaties op je systeem kun je niet gebruiken ! - De enige winst zit in het feit dat het Linux operating system en Linux apps mogelijk net iets efficiënter kunnen werken, maar die winst is per definitie beperkt -------------------- Apart de zogenaamde reactie van Xtra-PC. Link in de reactie verwijst naar een heel ander bedrijf. Gaat er iets mis bij ?

I only bought the small one
I would rather throw the old computer away then to put with this so-called fix. It takes forever get anywhere I do not think this is worth the money.

I purchased a xtra-PC Ultra 16 GB thumb…
I purchased a xtra-PC Ultra 16 GB thumb drive. I not only did not work on my computer, it crashed my laptop and would not let me log in for a while. I can't recommend this as a fix for older computers, as advertised on TV.
