More than 20 days wasted, no meaningful Compliance response, unclear process and onboarding terminated
Our experience with Yoursafe during the onboarding of Celtum Web S.r.l. / WeMet.club was extremely disappointing. We spent more than 20 days completing the application, submitting corporate documentation, providing demo accounts, adapting our platform to the compliance material supplied and developing the CardBilling integration. Despite this, Yoursafe Compliance never gave us a substantive assessment of the documents before the onboarding was terminated. We were first told that Compliance would contact us “promptly” if anything was missing. Later we were told the team was overloaded, that the summer period was slower and finally that the documents would be reviewed “as soon as possible”, without any meaningful timeline. The handling of the USD 1,000 fees was also unclear. We were initially told in writing that payment would take place after Compliance. Later we were encouraged to pay because this would give our onboarding additional priority. We repeatedly asked whether the fees would be refunded if the application were later rejected. We never received an answer. During the review, additional technical requirements also emerged that were not included in the original guidelines. At least one of these was expressly acknowledged as missing from the documentation supplied to us. We asked practical questions about moderation, downloads and implementation requirements, but several remained unanswered. When we requested escalation because of the lack of a Compliance timeline, we were asked not to continue requesting escalation. Shortly afterwards the onboarding was terminated, with the decision said to have been taken together with management. We fully accept that Yoursafe can choose which merchants it wishes to onboard. What we expected, however, was a transparent, predictable and professionally managed process. Instead, we lost more than 20 days, significant management time and substantial technical work on an integration that we now have to replace. We are also awaiting clear information on how the corporate and personal/KYC documentation already submitted will now be retained, accessed, shared or deleted. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Yoursafe to businesses for whom clear communication, predictable Compliance and launch timing are important.
