Team 8849 is trying to steal my identity asking for ids, credit cards and a selfie. Along with utility bills. I paid via paypal to protect myself from scammers. Team 8849 is a fraudelant company posing as a legit smarthphone company to steal your identity. Now the wont cancel and i had to contact my bank and get my money back

I like it much the phone and it's good…
I like it much the phone and it's good even with sight handicap but since months I can't use it because things are not working. They said to send it to control but I won't send my phone with private data I can't transfer and have a huge handicap!

Awful hardware reliability
Firstly, gotta say the phones are terrible. Secondly, Customer Service not brilliant nut not surprised as they prob sick of returns. Had a tank3 phone for couple years and it was spot . Got a tank 4 and it broke down within first few weeks. Got it changed for a tank x which did the same and also broke down. Have heard the chinese phone market pools its components and gets them cheap. Sometimes you get good bits and no hardware issues and sometimes not as a result. Since unihertz has changed their name to 8849 i can only presume they have upset the chinese phone bredrin as they use shockingly poor components now. Both phones had hardware issues and needed to be returned! I wont try another 8849 as they have seriously gone downhill on the quality control front.

Warranty support is unacceptable
Warranty support is unacceptable – I cannot recommend this company My experience with 8849 / Tank 4 Pro has been extremely disappointing. The fingerprint scanner on my phone stopped working completely. It is no longer active when trying to add a fingerprint in the settings. I performed all standard troubleshooting steps, including restarting the phone and carrying out a full factory reset, but the defect remains. When I contacted customer support, instead of offering a proper warranty solution, they suggested sending spare parts and refunding me only **$50** so that I could try to find a repair shop myself. This is not a serious or acceptable warranty solution. In Germany, no official service is likely to take responsibility for repairing this kind of phone and provide a meaningful warranty for the repair. On top of that, **$50 is completely unrealistic** for diagnostic work and repair here. Support also admitted that there are “many uncertain factors” regarding the cause of the defect. Exactly for that reason, their proposal makes no sense: the problem may not even be the fingerprint scanner itself, but another internal hardware issue. The phone is in **excellent cosmetic condition**. It has always been used in a protective case, has never been dropped, and does not have a single scratch. So vague references to possible damage after months of use are not a valid excuse to refuse a replacement or refund. What I see here is simple: the company is happy to sell devices internationally, but when a real warranty case appears, they try to shift the risk, cost, and responsibility onto the customer. That is not professional after-sales support. That is not a warranty I can trust. At this point, I cannot recommend this company to anyone. **If 8849 resolves this matter properly and offers a fair solution, I am prepared to update or remove this review accordingly.** Anton
