Disappointing customer support
I contacted Ableton regarding sticky side panels on my Push 2. The unit has had very little use and has been kept under a Decksaver for years, so I was disappointed to find the issue when I finally started using it properly. It took several follow-ups before I received a response. When Ableton eventually replied, they confirmed that because the Push 2 is discontinued they cannot provide replacement panels, spare parts or a replacement unit. The only solution offered was a cleaning guide. I understand that products eventually become discontinued, but I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect better support when an issue has occurred on a product that has seen very little use.

Très mauvais service commercial
Après une offre de déduction d'Ableton Live Intro de l'achat de Live suite ( suite à un double achat), faite par un commercial, l'offre a été refusée par un second. Je pensais faire le passage à Live Suite, mais après cette expérience je vais tout faire pour trouver un autre logiciel. j'ai trouvé les interactions avec le service commercial très désagréables en général.

Confusing tiers, a refund guarantee with a catch, and six months to get back what I'd paid for
I upgraded to Ableton Live Standard hoping for one specific feature — stem separation — only to discover after paying that it's Suite-only. At the time, the differences between Lite, Standard and Suite were poorly laid out, and I clearly wasn't the only one confused — the website appears to have been tidied up since. What frustrates me most is the refund policy. There's a money-back guarantee front and centre, but it effectively no longer applies once you register your licence — and registering is the only way to actually use any of the features. So to find out whether the product does what you need, you have to do the one thing that voids your protection. That isn't a guarantee in any meaningful sense. When I raised it, my access was disabled and the case was eventually closed automatically without ever being resolved. All told, it took six months and a great deal of effort to get back a licence I had already paid for in full. The software may be capable, but the buying and refund experience felt exploitative to me — built to make getting your money back hard rather than easy. I wouldn't choose to give Ableton my money again, and I'd genuinely encourage anyone weighing this up to look at the alternatives first, and to be very sure exactly which tier holds the feature you want before you pay.

Ableton keeps crashing
Ableton keeps crashing, ruining my projects. They make even turning up and down the sounds difficult, the most basic functions makes you wanna cry. I haven't yet come to love it.
