Totally incorrect Ancestry results
Very poor customer service. Takes them days and days to respond, had to resend messages several times. Ancestry report was utterly ludicrous and seemed they'd just sent me anyone's at random. I've tested with Ancestry, FTDNA, 23 and me, My heritage and living dna and all results are fairly similar, some in more detail than others. However the Ancestrum test said I was 56% Irish, when I live and was born in England and have no recent Irish great grandparents so was complete rubbish. It said I was 7% British. No mention of Scotland when other tests say I have at least 41% Scots Ancestry. The Mtdna haplogroup was also totally wrong, as I've done a complete Mtdna test. My advice is leave well alone, not worth the money.

There appears to be a fatal flaw in the procedures required to activate the test kits when you buy them on the amazon.it website. No order confirmation email with the order confirmation code which is necessary to activate and send in your test is generated. I wasted over two hours trying to resolve this issue myself, then have wasted the rest of the day up til now (5 pm) trying to resolve it with Ancestrum's customer care. Now it appears that perhaps I have been abandoned with the problem still unresolved when the person helping me went off duty(?) This seems like outrageous customer care service for a test that cost nearly 400 euros for the two of us.
