The treatment we faced was absolutely appalling. We were travelling back home and had arranged special assistance because of mobility issues. The Havas assistance staff took over 30 minutes to respond, initially we were helped through the first checkpoint, after that we were left to manage on our own through the airport. There was no meaningful assistance through the remaining security procedures or while navigating the airport. What made the situation even worse was the attitude we encountered. We were shouted, spoken to extremely disrespectfully and made to feel like an inconvenience simply because we required assistance. I was accused by the staff at the check in desk of lying about an injury I have that is affecting my mobility at the moment, I was asked to confirm what the date was. Being questioned and treated in this way while already struggling with mobility was humiliating and completely unacceptable. Not only this, but my grandma was repeatedly shouted at going through security in Turkish as they swabbed her hands and clothing. The woman tried to communicate in English ' Control Control' and when I told her that she doesn't need to speak to us in this way, we were gestured to keep quiet. Not to mention, she was the ONLY one that had these extra checks done. They removed her shoes and made no attempt to help us in anyway. Special assistance exists for a reason. People with disabilities, injuries etc. should not have to fight for basic dignity and support while travelling. Nobody should be made to feel that their condition is somehow an inconvenience or that they have to prove that they are genuinely injured before receiving help. As a person of colour, I also found the way we were treated deeply upsetting and it has genuinely made me question whether I would ever want to return to Turkey. Tourists spend their hard earned money travelling to the country and deserve to be treated with basic respect, regardless of their race, disability or mobility needs. The German/Turkish people in general treat black people like outsiders, like we don't deserve the same luxuries as them. In 2026, you wouldn't think we'd still need to be discussing racism and racial prejudice. Even our hotel experience came with issues, German people not even wanting to be in the same lifts as us, getting proportionally a different service because we are black. To all racists, do you even have valid reason to not like us? Or has history just made you build this obscene picture that we are worth nothing? It's crazy, because you will still want our money and you will still want us to come back to your countries and invest into your culture, but yet basic respect only exists for those that are not black.

As a someone who works for Swissport at BHX this airport has the rudest staff and is over priced. Due to the length of time taken check in and going through security I had only 20 mins to grab some food which came up to £84 for 4 meals at McDonald's. Despite paying a rushing to my gate half of my order was missing which I couldn't go back to get due to my flight departing. Then the staff boarding the Easyjet was highly rude and not very considerate about anything. Customer service is non existence and the staff and amenties need to be review.

I’m here now and I’ve got to say, everything I’ve read on here is complete nonsense. Flying Antalya to Bristol. Loads of staff. Really helpful. Spotlessly clean. Bottles of water £2, loads of seats. Kids had two slices of pizza (a slice is about a quarter of what we would call pizza) Coke Zero and wedges. £16. Absolutely acceptable. Security was busy but really well staffed. I accidentally left my watch in a tray and they couldn’t be more helpful to try and find it. I got it back. Loads of toilets. Airports I’ve been too recently that have been worse than this one. Bristol Manchester Sharm el sheikh Charles de Gaulle Could probably go … People are proper right moaners aren’t they.

Værste sted på jorden. Ubehageligt. Ubehøvlet personale. Ingen organisation. For mange mennesker der render på kryds og tværs. Sindssyge priser i lufthavnen. Aldrig mere der igennem. Og for rygere er det en hån. Smider rygere langt op i et fornærmende lille rum i noget de kalder terrasse. Og hele Tyrkiet ryger🙄🙄🙄
