Two failed attempts
I initially tried yesterday. It was terrible. They ask you pretty immediately how it went and I gave it a single star. Every single one of the images was so overdone, it looked like a cartoon version of me. Someone did reach out, I'll give them that, and they offered a re-do, I'll give them that. But it came after nearly nine hours of back-and-forth because the agent wasn't listening to a thing I said. Except, as I type this, I'm realizing I was probably emailing an AI agent. And today? Worse even than yesterday. Except today, about half are so over processed they look like a cartoon and the other half? I am quite literally crying at how awful I look. Like I know the selfies I uploaded aren't great -- if I could take a good picture I wouldn't have paid for this service, you know? Please do not waste your money. This isn't 'oh, wow, this is so bad, it crossed the line to funny'. This was an entire week's worth of grocery money to be made to feel absolutely horrible about myself. That is just not worth the risk for anyone. Edited to add: after confirming I had not downloaded any of the images, they are giving me a 90% refund. I didn't expect that to happen. I am changing from one star to four for the refund policy. So the caveat is now: maybe I had a singularly horrific experience and maybe you'll have better luck. But if you do try them, do NOT download anything or you will not be eligible for any refund.

I did two sessions after one with Dreamwave
I did two sessions; the first was way off. I was only able to use head shits. The problem is that when I started the first session, since it was my first time, I just went with the AI-detected setting. Since I was not sure how the outcome would be or no sample was given, I had to accept what was given. I did try the edit tokens, but that only gave me 4 tries and not enough to know what I was doing, and the outcome was not good enough. Not to mention, I only had enough tokens for just a few photos. I wish there were more of a tutorial for beginners or first-time users. Process of elimination is what I had to do, and pay for a second session. I can either try another platform, which I initially tried Dreamwave, which was a failure, but I was able to produce better photos on the first try with them. I decided to give BetterPic another try. The first set did not fit my body type, way too thin. It detected average, which to some I can be considered average. But based on your options, I'm definitely husky+. So most of the images are way off, only head shots. Then the eyes. I'm a Hispanic male with medium brown skin, black hair, and brown eyes. The brown eye option made my eye look too light and off on close up picture. The black eye option is what I used in the second set and worked perfectly, not knowing that brown was too light. I have never met a person with black eyes. I went with BtterPic cause i like their options on clothing, location, and colors. I think it's well worth what I spent in all 3 sessions, including Dreamwave. Good learning experience, despite the price I had to pay. I was frustrated at first. I can fix the eyes on a few and try to fix the weight. But had to just get a new set at my expense. My suggestion: give a sample (let them correct before the full batch), give a tutorial for beginners. So they know what can be fixed at what cost and how to fix it. Besides that, thank you, and I plan to use it again soon, I hope.

This is a waste of money
This is a waste of money. Frustrating experience overall. about half of my images were good. The face, hair, and eyes are where most AI image generators go wrong. Of the half that were "good", every. single. one. had something that killed the picture. Examples: I had chosen business casual and selected a blue suit color, but it gave me a blue shirt. This is not my style, yet I couldn't change the shirt color. In a different photo, it gave me a white shirt (which is good)... it also gave me a silver chain. WTF? I didn't ask for one nor did any of the photos I uploaded have chains. I'm not a chain guy. My eye color was off; I used my "credits" and then ran out, while it asked me to spend more to fix it. Total waste of $35. Please save your money.

I took a leap of faith with BetterPic…
I took a leap of faith with BetterPic based on other online reviews. There were a lot of free options out there, however, all of the reviews I read prior to signing up had BetterPic as the best AI App. And the service didn't disappoint. I uploaded the 8 photo's required for profiling, but didn't achieve the 80% quality gate. I reached 78%. I went with it anyway and was super happy with the quality of the images generated.
