Noleggiata auto in Irlanda con assicurazione base. Vetro crepato senza aver subito urto o incidente, probabilmente per una sostituzione fatta male precedentemente... Vani in tentativi di dare spiegazioni. 800 euro da pagare. Non ci vedrete mai più nella vita!

BAD EXPERIENCE
On June 6, 2026 I rented a vehicle from Budget at the Rome Airport (Fiumicino). I was quoted 800+ dollars on line and agreed to the reservation. Upon arrival to their office I was greeted and asked to sign a tablet screen. When I left the airport, I noticed that my bill was for more than 3000.00 dollars. I disputed the charges and was told that this hidden charges would stay. Be aware of hidden charges and representatives rushing you through the process. Ask for a receipt and do not walk away until they disclose all of the charges. OR, choose a different company.

First, it took us a long time to find the rental desk because the signage was poor. The staff were rude and spoke poor English. They did not clearly explain the rental terms and tried to pressure us into purchasing expensive insurance and other charges that were added afterwards. The car was not clean when we received it and already had several areas of damage. At the desk, we were informed that the car had some pre-existing damage, but we were not shown any damage report or detailed documentation. When we returned the car, the staff were extremely rude and unhelpful from the outset. They claimed there was a small scratch near the side mirror. When we rubbed away what appeared to be dirt, the employee pointed to another dirty mark on the same part of the car instead. We explained that we had not caused the alleged damage and showed them the video we had taken before driving away. Despite this, they charged us €300, claiming that this was the cost of repairing a “scratch” approximately 2 cm long. They also refused to return our deposit. We strongly dispute this charge, but the staff offered no assistance or proper response. They simply told us that we “just had to pay.” When we questioned how they could justify the amount, they replied, “It’s none of your business.” Completely unacceptable conduct from this company. NEVER rent from Budget.

⚠️ DANGEROUS RENTAL AGENCY — AVOID AT ALL COSTS We survived a tyre blowout at 130 the motorway with our 2.5-year-old child. The car rented from Budget had no spare tyre, no equipment to change the tyre, no warning triangle and no safety vest. We were put in an extremely dangerous situation on the motorway with a young child. The motorway emergency service had to intervene and tow us to a service area. We have now been stuck at this service area for hours, waiting for Budget's recovery service to collect their vehicle. Budget's customer service is not answering properly and is unable to provide us with any clear information or solution. We have repeatedly asked when the recovery vehicle will arrive, when we will be taken back to the airport and when we will receive a replacement car — and we still have no clear answer. We are travelling with a 2.5-year-old child and have been left to deal with this situation on our own. A tyre blowout can happen. What is completely unacceptable is providing a rental car without basic safety equipment and then failing to assist your customers properly in an emergency. This is not just poor customer service. This is a serious safety issue. AVOID THIS RENTAL AGENCY. We strongly advise people not to rent from Budget Italy. We will be requesting reimbursement for all expenses and making a formal complaint about this incident. Absolutely unacceptable. Budget should be ashamed of the way this situation has been handled.
