SCAM!!! DO NOT USE... I don't normal give reviews but these companies just behaved like scammers. Don't be deceived about their cheap prices. When you get to the counter to pick up the car, you will be surprised. Rather, directly make reservations from Car rental companies. I paid online to carrental.com, I when discovered unmentioned other charges, I wanted a refund. Immediately I called carrental.com, their virtual assistance was just dropping my calls for like 30mins making me to almost miss my appointment and disrupting my plans. Next car rentals sent me to Carrentals.com. Reaching out carrental.com, they sent me back to Next Car rentals. Both next car and carrental.com are unreliable. It was a very bad experience, don't fall into that trap. Go directly to other car rental companies with better reviews to avoid being disappointed or frustrated. There is no 'star' option, I would have given ZERO star.

Cancelled car as we were late picking up
Have used them a good few times before, and things were fine. However, we were delayed picking up our car due to flight issues (2.5 hours past the time we booked it in), so they cancelled the booking, leaving us stuck without a car. Never heard of this before, we did pay for the rental so in my mind we could arrive any time we wanted once it was open. Will never use again.

Beware of renting through Carrentals.com--scam alert
Rent through this Expedia platform at your peril. They are scam artists. I just spent over an hour trying to complete a no-penalty cancellation of a car rental booked through this platform--just reprehensible. First, clicking the "Modify Booking" link on the original email confirmation I received just went to a message saying I was trying to reach an incorrect address. Then, when i finally got through to someone online and gave them the reservation number, first the person said that they would need to contact the car rental agency to confirm that I would not be charged for the rental--even though when I booked the platform stated that there was free cancellation up until 48 hours prior. Then, the person said--ok, you can cancel, but you must pay a $7.50 charge. Finally, she agreed that I could cancel without any penalty or payment required, but when I asked for an email confirmation, that was a problem--they said they had sent one, but nothing came. Only when I asked to be speak with a supervisor did an email suddenly appear confirming the cancellation. Save yourself a lot of headaches and avoid this booking agent. They are playing games, engaging in extremely unethical business practices.

Hidden mandatory insurance charge at pickup
I booked a Hertz rental in Cancun through CarRentals.com and paid for collision coverage, then Hertz required almost $400 more for liability insurance at the counter. CarRentals.com did not clearly disclose before checkout that a separate mandatory liability charge could be imposed at pickup and exceed the prepaid rental price. Travelers should know the real mandatory cost before booking, not late at night at pickup with family waiting.
