A Solid, Recommended FM
A Solid, Highly Recommended File Manager My background with file managers traces back to Norton Commander, Far Manager on Windows, and Midnight Commander on Unix. While searching for an mc alternative for Mac, I discovered Commander One and haven't looked back. I highly recommend it because it is incredibly keyboard-driven and completely bypasses the limitations of the macOS Finder. My only critique is the lack of functionality to the built-in CLI below the panels. The developers have mentioned they won't be adding features to this, suggesting users open a separate shell instead. Despite that minor drawback, the networking setup is seamless. The SCP connectivity, reliable cloud plugins, and clean default themes make this an excellent daily driver. Definitely a must buy if you are into solid trustworthy filemanagers in your workflow.

I had been looking for a way to access…
I had been looking for a way to access my iPhone on my Mac the same way I would on a Windows PC, and the iOS device mounting feature in Commander One was exactly what I needed. On top of that, the support experience was outstanding. Alexis took the time to answer my questions, address my concerns, and make sure the software was the right fit before I committed to a purchase. That kind of service is rare and genuinely appreciated. I am looking forward to exploring all the other features this app has to offer.

Commander One is my go-to for everything.
"I’ve been using Commander One for both daily tasks and managing my websites via FTP, and honestly? It’s a beast! Super fast, rock-solid, and looks great too. I’ve tried plenty of other apps, but this one is hands down the best. If you’re a power user, go for the Pro version – it’s worth every penny. Even the free version is more than enough for basic home use. Highly recommended!"

An excellent alternative to Finder
An excellent alternative to Finder. It's probably the best app I've ever used. It works flawlessly even on the latest Macs. The free version uses the Terminal included with Mac for command operations, but the Pro version has a built-in Terminal within the app. This makes it a true all-in-one solution for network operations. I highly recommend purchasing and using the Pro version.
