SCAM! Bad ethics!!
SCAM!! We were reviewing a request from a customer for an eco rating of our company. So we thought of using Ecovadis. Went online created a profile and completed questions. However they don't tell you the cost until you finish. Once we saw the cost we did not complete the request for a report and stopped. However, we later received an invoice to pay even though we did not subscribe nor received any report. They even sent a company to chase after the payment and said once you acknowledge the terms and conditions of the website you agree to paying the subscription. What a scam!! No other website would do that!!! No ethics, just a money grab. Makes you wonder about their true eco rating system. Probably also a scam and draw for money!!!

Deficient evaluation and poor follow-up
Unfortunately, this company, which is used to evaluate the internal processes of other businesses, conducts its assessments inefficiently by generalizing its information requests. For example, they request the same information (control documents) from an HR services company as they do from a foundry. Furthermore, their customer service is terrible; over the course of two years, they failed to resolve an issue regarding this matter (an erroneous evaluation) and kept closing my complaint tickets, marking them as resolved. Fortunately, my client—who originally directed me to EcoVadis—noticed their poor service and agreed to keep me as a supplier without requiring me to register with that company again.

Terrible!
Everything everyone else has said here, especially around the subscription renewal and customer services complaints, plus: We had to pay a fairly costly subscription to complete an exhausting cumbersome questionnaire, to be assessed and scored, and end up with something you can do nothing with. To download a copy of your scorecard, you are told to upgrade your subscription to Premium, which is more than double the normal subscription. The alternative is to share your scorecard inside EcoVadis with a potential (take note - only potential) new customer, and for them to view it, they need to register on EcoVadis, and so they get pulled into the ponzi scheme (for lack of a better word). We were also "forced" to approach several of our suppliers (some of them small businesses) to subscribe and complete the cumbersome questionnaire. These suppliers were red flagged by EcoVadis for whatever reason - but having dealt with these suppliers for many years, we know they are reputable companies. I would rate EcoVadis zero starts if it was an option.

Titre: Erreur d'affectation reconnue, correction refusée — une expérience client décevante
EcoVadis a commis une erreur d'affectation sectorielle lors de notre évaluation: notre entreprise, pourtant clairement fabless, a été classée dans une mauvaise catégorie, faussant l'ensemble de la notation sur la section Achats responsables. Après réclamation, EcoVadis a reconnu l'erreur par écrit. Jusque-là, rien d'anormal — les erreurs arrivent. Ce qui est en revanche inacceptable, c'est la réponse apportée: impossibilité de corriger l'affectation ou de rouvrir le questionnaire sur la section concernée. La seule solution proposée? Un crédit de réévaluation gratuit — autrement dit, nous demander de refaire le travail pour corriger leur erreur. Pour un outil vendu comme référence en matière de notation RSE, ce manque de fiabilité du processus et cette incapacité à assumer ses erreurs sont préoccupants. Nos clients et partenaires s'appuient sur ces scores pour prendre des décisions. Une notation faussée par une erreur interne non corrigée nuit directement à notre réputation.
