Support has repeated the same generic template response twice, without explaining what specific content or activity triggered the suspension. Multiple support tickets (#14746407, #14758343) remain unresolved with no clear escalation path beyond email replies. As a PhD researcher and Associate Editor at a Springer Nature journal, I set up my account in good faith to offer legitimate academic editing services — a permanent, unexplained ban with no transparent appeal process is deeply concerning for a platform this size.

New seller account restricted for an IP address
New seller account restricted immediately after completing ID verification and W-9 submission. Reason given: "IP address previously linked to fraudulent conduct" and "measures to conceal identity/location." I use a VPN for security, as many people do, and it was connected to a US server the entire time — no attempt to obscure my location. I disabled it specifically when Fiverr's own W-9 processor asked me to, and appealed with two separate support reps, including a supervisor. Both confirmed the decision was final and could not explain what specific evidence the flag was based on. Basing a fraud determination on an IP address or subnet reputation is a fundamentally unreliable way to identify a person — that data reflects an ISP's or VPN provider's address pool, not the individual using it, and consumer ISPs routinely reassign the same addresses to different customers. If Fiverr genuinely wants to verify a seller's identity, a live video call would be a far more reliable method than IP heuristics — and I'd have gladly done one. I've filed complaints with the Texas Attorney General and FTC. If you're a legitimate freelancer and get flagged similarly, know this is a documented, recurring pattern — you're not alone, and regulatory complaints are a real option when internal appeals go nowhere.

Servizio pessimo: esperienza estremamente negativa
La mia esperienza è stata, purtroppo, pessima. Ho commissionato la copertina del mio libro specificando chiaramente che non volevo un lavoro realizzato con intelligenza artificiale. La bozza che mi è stata consegnata ha sollevato immediatamente forti dubbi. L'ho sottoposta separatamente a ChatGPT, Claude e DeepSeek e tutti e tre hanno indicato un'altissima probabilità che l'immagine fosse stata generata o comunque realizzata con l'ausilio dell'IA. Il fornitore sostiene invece che non sia così e l'assistenza ha sostanzialmente accettato la sua versione. Il problema, però, non è soltanto questo. A oggi la copertina risulta in revisione da circa 15 giorni, senza che la situazione venga realmente risolta: non ho ricevuto il lavoro definitivo che avevo commissionato e non ho ricevuto un rimborso nonostante abbia manifestato chiaramente la mia insoddisfazione. Quello che considero più grave è proprio la gestione dell'assistenza: lenta, inconcludente e, nella mia esperienza, praticamente inesistente quando si tratta di arrivare a una soluzione concreta. Quando si affida un lavoro professionale e si pagano dei professionisti, ci si aspetta trasparenza, rispetto delle richieste del cliente e soprattutto un'assistenza capace di intervenire quando nasce un problema. Nel mio caso non ho trovato nulla di tutto questo. Esperienza assolutamente negativa. Non mi sento di consigliare il servizio.

Ban ingiustificato e totale mancanza di tutela per chi compra e lavora onestamente
Torno a recensire Fiverr a distanza di tempo perché la situazione, invece di migliorare, è peggiorata drasticamente. Dopo aver tentato in passato di aprire un profilo venditore (mai avviato davvero perché sono stato letteralmente bombardato solo ed esclusivamente da bot e scammer che chiedevano email o carte di credito estere) mi ritrovo oggi con l'account sospeso in modo permanente con una motivazione del tutto generica ("non in linea con i nostri standard di qualità"). L'aspetto più assurdo è la totale mancanza di rispetto per chi sulla piattaforma è stato anche un acquirente pagante: con questa decisione unilaterale e ingiustificata mi è stato bloccato l'accesso allo storico dei miei acquisti e a commissioni passate che avevo regolarmente pagato e che ora non posso più recuperare. Una decisione del genere dovrebbe semplicemente portare a rimuovere la possibilità di poter continuare a vendere, dato che il presunto problema riguarda lo standard come venditore e non come acquirente. Invece di combattere l'infinita rete di spambot e truffatori che infestano le chat dei nuovi utenti, la moderation di Fiverr preferisce fare pulizie a strascico penalizzando gli utenti reali. Sconsiglio vivamente di affidarsi a questa piattaforma se cercate tutela e professionalità nel tempo.

Ripped off
Ripped off - I've used this service several times and had pretty decent results. I recently used them for a large project that was pretty expensive ($500+). After two weeks, the freelancer I hired changed their name and profile, didn't provide any deliverable, and wouldn't return my messages. I contacted customer service, and they said I was not able to get a refund because it was past the period, even though I never received anything. I will never use this service again, with no confidence that they'll keep freelancers accountable for delivering service.
