Perfect experience
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Everything went perfectly from start to finish! The whole process was smooth and easy, and we even received a free upgrade for our car, which was a really nice surprise. The service was excellent, the staff were very friendly, and the shuttle service worked perfectly as well. Overall, we had a great experience with Auto Union and would definitely book with them again. Highly recommended!

Reliable car rental company
Reliable car rental company. Communication was good, particularly app contact day before rental. We had to wait for more than 30 minutes for the shuttle from the airport to the office. It was a busy day the exact location of the shuttle was not clear. Otherwise I would rate Funchaldrive 5 stars.

I do not like the fact that i had to…
I do not like the fact that i had to pay extra insurance after the rental was completed. Also I had to pay an extra 35 dollars because you could not drive me to airport and I was required to park in the parking lot at airport. Should not be my expense.

Best Rental company in Madeira
Best Rental company in Madeira! We got scammed by SIXT, had to book a car fast because otherwise the whole holiday would not be possible. Booked by Funchal Drive at 22:00 for the next day at 8:00, very easy and efficient. Picked up the car at 9:00 since we couldn't get a taxi and buses were extremely hard to get, but the company waited for us with the car. I must say tho, it was almost impossible to get a reach of them on the phone to let them know we are going to be late… We could also choose a different return location as the pick up one which honestly saved us. The return was also very smooth and fast, there was a shuttle that brought us to the airport. I recommend this company to anyone traveling to Madeira.

I was disappointed with my experience…
I was disappointed with my experience with Funchal Drive. My flight was cancelled, and I informed the company immediately. As a result, I only arrived in Madeira the following day. However, I was still charged for the full rental period, despite losing almost an entire day of use through no fault of my own. When I finally arrived at the airport at around 2:00 PM, I contacted the company as instructed. Despite informing them of my arrival, I had to wait approximately one hour for the shuttle service. To make matters worse, I was not collected on the first shuttle but only on the second trip. While the staff were polite, I feel the billing and customer service could have been handled much more fairly. I hope the company reviews this situation and provides a more reasonable solution.
