Very happy with car and service
Very helpful and polite. Easy to book and very reasonable price for a week in August. I called from passport control as we were held up for over an hour and was told that our car would still be available and was thanked for letting them know. We walked to the car rental building as there was a long queue at the shuttle bus. Easily marked route. Took about 10 mins to sort paperwork with very reasonable excess charge locked on to my credit card. Just over £500, we've know double that in some places. Car itself was as we reasonably new with very effective a/c which was on almost permanently as we drove over 700km around Tuscany. Hopefully managing to avoid all the ZTL areas. Parking is often free if you are willing walk a short distance extra. Return of car was very quick, just asked if we'd filled the petrol tank. Full blocked amount on credit card released within 2 days .

Comme tout le monde je suis très déçu et je me suis fais bien douiller! A la base c’était 131 euros pour 4 jours de location avec une assurance tout risquée incluse ( Catane en Sicile) . J’ai payé 46€ d’accompte puis….sur place 100€ pour un truc et 240€ d’assurance (tout risque)….soit 390€ pour quatre jours ….effectivement ils te forcent la main car je leur ai montré mon assurance mais le loueur m’a expliqué qu’elle ne servait à rien….et comme y a une heure d’attente et qu’ils savent que tu en a marres avec le trajet, tu laches. Que dire de la voiture…salle et tachée à l’intérieur, abîmée niveau carrosserie…heureusement qu’ils m’ont pas fait de manière à la restitution sinon je petais un cable. Je déconseille mais…je me suis fais avoir l’année dernière à Naples avec une autre agence donc…

Quick pickup/return, great communication
I was nervous after reading all the negative reviews, but I have only good things to say about Galdieri Rent at Milan Airport. Although the car rental agency is located off the airport grounds, the shuttle ride to the terminal took only 5–10 minutes. The agent at the counter was courteous, with no upselling or attempts to sell us “mandatory insurance.” The car was new, and although it had a couple of dents, I had no problem documenting them on video before leaving and had no issues when returning the car. The only thing that could be improved is that they have only one agent at the counter, and the agent does not accompany you to inspect the car or check it upon return. During the trip, we started to hear a beeping sound. It took just one message to the agency to figure out what was causing it. We just put our backpack on the back seat triggering the valid seatbelt alarm. Overall, we had a very good experience.

This company is a scam. the car we got perfect drived well etc, but had damage on the body which was not menetioned when signing (they have you sign before seeing the car)they i went out took lots of pictures and videos and brought it in side, the dude there said no problem just tell the staff when comig back, so he didnt check and adjust the paper work, on the return i brought it in for inspection and the lad said look at all this damage, and had i videos i was going to play him at his own game by saying i didnt have vidoes but i had to catch a flight, after showing all the videos he said no problem all monety will go back, i then told him this lookds very scammy what you are doing here and he said they recently changed therer systm (BS) id hate to see someone who had no idea or old get caught in this scam

International Driving License needed.
In June 2026, I faced a nightmare scenario at the Venice car rental counter. Upon arrival, the agent refused my Canadian driver’s license. I was forced to return to the airport and rent from a different company at ten times the original price due to the last-minute desk rate. As my aunt was from around the area in Venice, we asked her to drive to the desk (2hours drive for her); she rented herself the booked car and I drove my aunt’s car. We had to improvise. Total wait time was over 3 hours with 2 little boys hungry and tired from a very long flight from Canada. I have traveled all over the world and rent cars in Italy almost every year, yet I have never been asked for an International Driving Permit (IDP) before. ( specifically in May 2024 in Milano & 2025 in Verona) I even purchased an online international license on the spot for €80, but they rejected it, claiming they required a physical paper copy. The agent showed zero empathy, repeatedly saying "no" and leaving me stranded with two small children in tears. Nevertheless, they flatly denied me the rental car. They offered no valid justification and made zero effort to resolve the situation. The rejection seemed entirely intentional. Afterward, however, the pickup and drop-off went smoothly, and we had zero issues returning the vehicle.
