Don't know how we survived but we did
Me and my 2 friends went on a road trip in the states from Nashville to NY. When we got to the drop off in NJ the guy (who was actually very nice and helpful) said he didn't even want to drive it and was suprised we made it. Pick up from Nashville was an experience, it was hard to understand the man as he spoke so quietly and even after asking to repeat multiple times we still didn't understand. He didn't show us everything in depth. We occured loads of problems with the van and had to make a stop at the Chicago depot where a woman kind of helped us with the generator but was still not super helpful. We had to visit 3 garages too. The roof windows were taped shut, the cuttelry was dirty, the step flipped up mid drive so we could see the road beneath us driving on the highway, engine light on due to a faulty cylinder, and more! We tried to speak to customer service and have gotten bad replies and he offered to let us speak to a manager and when we took that offer, he then stopped replying.

Mucho cuidado con reservar aqui! Si no tienen otra opción que hacerlo, asegurense *muy bien* de tomar fotos de absolutamente todo, cada detalle, cada defecto, por minúsculo que sea, y exijan tenerlo en el contrato de alquiler, incluso despues de haberlo firmado. Porque sino, os pasará como a nosotros: la solapa del enchufe de luz venía sujeta con cinta de pato, la retiramos en medio del camino casi a punto de caerse y la pusimos a resguardo. Meses despues, un cobro desmesurado y presiones desde una agencia de cobros para que pagasemos, incluso despues de demostrarles lo abusivo del reclamo. Huid de aqui si tienen mejores opciones, aunque sea más caro.

If there was the possibility to give zero stars that would be my review. Lack of costumer service since the beginning. As we arrived and the gave us the vehicle the lady who welcomed us didn’t give us half of the services we paid for (blankets, towels, gas tank norms tied properly) and we had to ask for it. The most disappointing thing came when we left. The gave us the van saying “you’re free to go” but we didn’t realise that she left a top window open. As we left the window broke due to the wind and they charged us for 240€ for something we didn’t even touch. On top of it we had the full insurance package which we found out that it covers only outer parts (it’s not mentioned on the website) I suggest you spend your money elsewhere

Nunca más Indie Campers Madrid. Una auténtica clase magistral de cómo no gestionar una empresa de alquiler de autocaravanas. Nuestra experiencia con Indie Campers en Madrid fue un desastre de principio a fin. La entrega del vehículo fue un auténtico caos. No solo nosotros, sino prácticamente todos los clientes tuvimos que esperar durante horas. Da la impresión de que el desorden forma parte del modelo de negocio. Finalmente nos entregaron una autocaravana llena de golpes y abolladuras, sucia, sin suficiente aceite del motor y sin líquido limpiaparabrisas. Es decir, un vehículo que jamás debería haberse entregado en ese estado. Como si fuera poco, el frigorífico dejó de funcionar repetidamente durante el viaje. Después de tantos problemas decidimos devolver la autocaravana dos días antes de lo previsto. Lejos de mostrar un mínimo de comprensión, nos cobraron una penalización por la devolución anticipada. Además, nos facturaron daños que no pudimos entender ni comprobar, y ni siquiera reembolsaron el importe del aceite que tuvimos que comprar para evitar circular con el nivel demasiado bajo. El servicio de atención al cliente merece una mención especial. Cuando necesitas ayuda, prácticamente solo hablas con asistentes de inteligencia artificial que repiten respuestas automáticas. Intentar resolver una reclamación resulta desesperante y, en nuestra experiencia, completamente inútil. Si buscan unas vacaciones tranquilas, empiecen por evitarse este problema. Hay muchas empresas de alquiler de autocaravanas; nosotros, después de esta experiencia, jamás volveremos a reservar con Indie Campers. Nuestra recomendación es clara: busquen otra empresa. Su tiempo, su dinero y sus vacaciones se lo agradecerán.

Don't do it! it will ruin your holiday
Avoid this company if you value your holiday! We had an extremely poor experience with Indie Campers in Iceland. Our scheduled campervan pickup was delayed by 2.5 hours, and after finally leaving the depot, the vehicle broke down just 15 minutes into our trip, leaving us stranded on the side of the highway with two young children, no food, and no water. Despite repeatedly contacting customer support, we were told nothing could be done because the depot was closing. No assistance, urgency, or concern for our safety was shown. The following day, we were informed we would be responsible for towing costs and any damage during recovery. When we returned to the depot, staff appeared unaware of our situation, no replacement vehicle had been prepared, and we waited nearly two more hours before being offered a smaller, downgraded campervan. To this date they are refusing to refund the price difference and the loss of days, we also discovered extra fees had been added through a separate booking that was created for the replacement. Most concerning was a staff member's admission that the vehicle had known mechanical issues and that replacement parts had been on order for months. Between the pickup delay, vehicle breakdown, poor communication, lack of support, forced downgrade, and refund issues, we lost almost two full days of our holiday. We also spoke with several other customers who reported similar experiences involving breakdowns, delays, and poor customer service. Indie Campers are cheaper initially, but the stress, lost time, and lack of customer care is not worth the couple $ you may save We would never use them again and cannot recommend them to anyone.
