New Hi5 gels packaging for cycling
I'm a cyclist and have used Hi5 gels for years. The taste, consistency etc suit my gut and the price has remained competive in a crazy choice world of gels now. However the new packaging has ruined the party and I've give it several months to try and adjust. I find the tethered top and new tougher plastic make it quite unsafe to open whilst riding. When you do manage to tear it open the gel is really difficult to get out and I often end up gulping air, smearing it on my face and sometimes leaving half of it in the packet. I get the idea behind tethered top but I've never littered with gel tops. The point of a gel is being able to eat it quickly on the move so hopefully Hi5 will reassess but for now I'm going to shop around. Thanks for your reply Hi5 but I haven't received any email from you as yet.

I ordered the mix pack of 8 and when…
I ordered the mix pack of 8 and when the box arrived massively damaged with only 3 gels in I contacted customer service 4 times now and have just been completely ignored! Awful service and the gels I did receive were equally awful and didn't provide any energy, so just stuck with my SIS ones from the shops (which were sold with the same amount advertised on the box...)

Been using High5 gels for years now…
Been using High5 gels for years now cycling. Love the taste and they help fuel me for hours in the saddle. However! The new packaging is really not up to the job. It's hard to actually get the full amount of gel out while on the move, usually meaning about half or a third is left in there unused! Such a waste. The old packaging was far more flexible and getting that needed energy was a breeze. Not now this needs changed or I'll not be buying these again. Sorry High5.

Great gels, awful new packaging
I’ve been using High5 gels for many years and love them. However, the new packaging is awful. The plastic is very rigid and it’s difficult to ‘feel’ where the gel is. Also, the tab at the top gets in the way when you’re trying to get the gel into your mouth. The only benefit is that the tab doesn’t come off and cause unnecessary littering. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
