史上最差的乘机体验，没有之一
我们一家四口（含两名12岁以下儿童）搭乘中午航班前往日本。提前到达值机柜台，希望能安排我们与孩子坐在一起，工作人员一口回绝，表示必须额外付费选座。我只好作罢。然而登机后赫然发现，机上大量普通座位空置，但全部被锁定，标价“付费即可换座”——为了多赚选座费，宁可让座位空着，也不愿给带小孩的家庭基本便利，这种冷漠令人心寒。 落座后，座椅是又薄又硬的皮质，且靠背完全固定，无法向后倾斜哪怕一丁点。五个多小时的航程，腰部和臀部痛得如坐针板。飞行约两小时后，向乘务员要一杯水，竟被告知需收费10港币——长途航班连基本饮用水都要额外花钱，真是闻所未闻。 最后降落时，飞机重重砸在跑道上，一声巨响，我整个人都从座位上弹了起来，足以见机师操作之粗糙。 这一连串的“惊喜”让我彻底看清这家航空公司的嘴脸：一切向钱看，毫无服务温度。仅此一次，以后即使免费送我机票，我也绝不会再踏进他们的航班。

Nothing special about it
Nothing special about it. No refreshments etc as expected as budget airline. Using it because it’s the only Direct flight Penang to HK return. And the only available flight with good timing on last min booking. Unpleasant experience at Koashiung airport boarding to HK 18/7, is it the HK Express staff or is it Kaoshiung people characteristic being racist?? Just not happy that, I was asked to put my little gift pineapple tart box into my bag, which is full, it certainly can go under the seat, in addition to the one item bag I carry, the staff at boarding suggested I opened up gift and spread it … I gave it to her in the end… can’t be bothered. However, I will make sure I won’t need to have to fly HK express again. Not cheap either. Not a pleasant experience overall.

Absolute scam airline
Absolute scam airline to avoid at all costs. I just fell into a trap with their 4 ticket options, choosing the 3rd most expensive "Essential" option, which - totally illogically - skipped the carry-on (which is included in the 2nd most expensive and the most expensive, all inclusive 4th option), I was very negatively surprised at the airport when they charged me an extra 44 USD for a carry-on bag! The ticket from Hong Kong to Kota Kinabalu was not cheap at all for a "budget airline" (170 USD one way!) and with the hefty 44 USD extra fee it went over 200 USD. Even the guy at the HKK airport who did the check-in honestly told me that a lot of people keep falling into this trap, assuming that the carry-on is included in the quite expensive Essential option and are then extorted by the airline at the airport. It is not about the money, it is about the HK Express dishonest scam-like online booking practices (leaving even experienced travellers like me stunned) and draconian baggage rules, to get some extra cash. However, once bitten twice shy, passengers always remember this kind of treatment and will never again fly with such a scam airline, so at the end, it's HK Express who will be losing more and more customers, not smart ...

The worst flying experience in more…
The worst flying experience in more than 40 years! They offer no service at all. Online check in? Forget about it, it is not working. The check in machines at the airport? Same story, not working! With only handluggage, the staff, send you to a very long queu where many unexperienced travellers are busy on their phones, talking and staring at their oversized luggages instead of moving forward. No one to ensure things go forward and to get the work done fluently. They started boarding 15 minutes before normal time to let you wait in an overcrowded bus for more than 20 minutes. Finally the plane could go to the runway with almost one hour of delay. What a bunch of incompetent bunglers! Never again!
