Truk Lagoon Trips
I have completed 3 trips to Truk Lagoon (Chuuk) with Insider Divers over the years. The diving is incredible with so many historic wrecks in warm clear tropical waters and with an abundance of marine life. Trips with Insider Divers are always very well organised through booking, assistance with flights and travel, to managing the group logistics and diving when there. My first trip was recreational (with Simon) that offered great dives, steadily progressing from simpler shallow wrecks to deeper, more complex ones. I then complete two technical trips (with Phil), where we were able to dive deeper wrecks, include wreck penetration and increase bottom times using decompression. For the technical diving, having an experienced technical instructor leading the group greatly assisted with the more complex dive planning. As a group we reviewed decompression schedules, dive objectives (especially involving wreck penetration) and run times. This coordination and planning effort helped ensure the dives ran smoothly and safely. As a keen photographer, wrecks presented new challenges and there was a lot to learn. Evening presentations with techniques and tips, along with some underwater assistance greatly improved my results. Truk is a truly unique destination; every trip I continued to discover something new and improve the quality of my pictures. I look forward to going back again.

Patagonia, Argentina 2025: Another unforgettable trip from start to finish with Insider Divers! Being in the water with Southern Right Whales in Patagonia was truly a once in a lifetime experience. The small group dynamic meant we had many amazing close-up whale interactions. The multiple additional land excursions to see elephant seals, penguins, guanacos and other regional species, in addition to an excursion on horseback through an hacienda near the coast where you could see the whales you were literally that morning in the water with breaching was unreal. Highly recommended trip! Once again Simon and his team delivers! Insider Divers is a top notch operator. Next trip with them already booked!

First time Insider Divers - wont be the last!
I went on a trip to the galapagos islands in april 2026 with insider divers, accompanied by Simon. And man, that was an experience i will never forget for the rest of my life. Even after roughly 600+ dives over the last years and diving around the planet - this was special to me. Galapagos delivered everything imagined and wished for, mother nature did their best to impress, and didn't disappoint! Hammerheads, Sealions, Whalsharks, Grey/Galapagos/Black/Whitetips, Mola Molas, Marine Iguanas... you name it. But not only the diving was phenomenal, everything else and around was perfectly organized. From the communication prior to the trip, transfers, accountability and the guidance during the liveaboard - Simon and the insiderdivers team did a great job! Free presentations about wildlife and sharks during surface intervals to educate guests and improving skill and knowledge was a really nice add . Last but not least the fact that Simon is a world class photographer, who took photos during the whole trip below and above the surface - edited them on the boat and uploading them for everybody to use and absolutely free of charge, that's nothing to be taken for granted! The boat and the crew was also great, very friendly and attentive, the food was delicious and with a good variety. I can not recommend insider divers enough and i will definitely attend a trip with them in the near future! Thanks for the magical memories! Cheers, Flo

Magical second trip with ID to the Galapagos
My second trip with Insider Divers (Galapagos), and it was just as exceptional as the first (Palau.) I specifically chose to go with I.D. because I 100% trust them to only partner with great local organisations (liveboards, tours, etc) ensuring safety, ethics & professionalism. On top of that Simon and the ID crew are welcoming, friendly & fun - as are the people drawn to his trips. Nature can never be guaranteed, but they ensure we hit the right places at the right time to have the highest chance. Absolutely magical trip - seeing more than I dreamed of!

2026 Dominica Expedition
I just returned for the 2026 sperm whale expedition with Insider Divers.. This was a trip of a life time! It was well organized from the moment we landed on the island to the moment we left. Our transportation and accommodations were all top notch. Ines (our multi-talented guide!) was a breath of fresh air. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and helped us every step along the way in making this the best experience possible. More than anything, you can tell she has a passion and respect for the ocean and marine life, which made having her as our guide that much better. We were lucky to see whales on each of the 5 days of our expedition. What set insider divers apart from other charters we saw was their patient and ethical approach to our encounters. Our captain (Parnell) seemed to have a connection with the resident whale population as if they were his family. When we weren’t on the water, Ines was able to coordinate some land based excursions for us which made for a very well rounded trip. If I ever comeback, I can’t imagine joining any other operated or guide. Thank you all so much!
