I purchased an IQoro in December 2020 and it has worked extremely well for me. I bought a second IQoro two years later and my condition has improved to the extent that I now only need maintenance training . I would thoroughly recommend this.

I wish, I really do wish that this product worked. On me, it has made no difference in spite of using it 3 times a day for 7 months. At the start, I was diagnosed with a 2.5 cm sliding hiatus hernia via an endoscopy. I had been taking a PPI for 18 years and it was no longer working - reflux and nausea. I bought for £152 a small piece of plastic and came off the PPI's. Initially the rebound stomach acid from stopping PPI's was horrendous. After 3 months the rebound acid lessened and I thought the IQoro was working. It wasn't. It was just the acid levels re-balancing. 7 months later an MRI showed the hiatal hernia to be exactly the same - no improvement whatsoever. I can only say that in my case despite applying myself rigorously to the exercises, it measurably does not work. My gastroenterologist asked me how I was getting on with the IQoro. When I told him, he said he wasn't surprised. It was, he said, designed for stroke victims to retrain the throat muscles for swallowing.

I first started using IQoro around 2019 when I was having a sudden and alarming increase of acid reflux at night. I Googled acid reflux and the IQoro came up. I was a bit put off by the high price of a little piece of plastic, but at that time I was also quite worried about being able to sleep well. I also had apnea for most of my adult life, though I am not overweight or have any of the other risk factors. Two weeks after receiving and starting to use the little device (and a tip for ADHD-ers, set an alarm 3x a day to help you remember to do it) I already had improvement. I used it as prescribed for about a year and then I felt like everything was better and only used it sporadically after that. Very rarely acid reflux and my apnea diminished significantly too. Sadly not my snoring though. Last year in April I had a very strange event that felt like a muscle spasm in my back just over my ribs. And then pain in my solar plexus. This was followed over the next couple of weeks with several very alarming events that felt like a heart attack. I went back to the info I had found about hiatal hernia all those years before and noticed that if you looked at some lesser viewed videos or websites or forums the symptoms people were reporting matched almost exactly. I wasn't having much acid reflux though, so I doubted but I started using the device again, but had trouble doing it consistently. After a truly alarming episode where I had to call the paramedics, and an endoscopy ordered by my GP which confirmed a small hiatal hernia, and the medical experts offering no real solution except surgery (which they said mine probably wasn't severe enough to do) or continuous antacid intake, I decided to give the IQoro another shot. This time I made sure I was doing it 3 times a day consistently. I've had only one attack since then, and that was early . Very occasionally I need an antiacid when I've had really spicy or acidic food (citrus!) but it's very rare. Its such a relief not to have to worry about that awful feeling of tightness between my shoulder blades and across my chest. But recently my IQoro developed a crack in it near the handle and sadly it has now spread all the way to each edge and is about to break in half.:-( So I'll have to get another one. I live in the Netherlands and they don't cover it under insurance. But this is the thing that has saved me from surgery and endless antacid chewing, and it held up fairly well for 7 years so I'm going to do it for sure. I'm curious if there's any way to prevent this from happening again though? I didn't know there's a FB group. I'll find it and ask there.

I have used IQoro for about 1.5 years. Within a few months the lump in my throat and feeling of needing to cough stopped. After a year i have managed to wean myself off omeprazole (PPI) in favour of famotidine which has fewer potential side effects. I no longer snore (heavily) and am really pleased with this product. I use once daily now just in maintenance mode. I am currently weaning myself of famotidine hopefully to use no pills And just rely on avoiding trigger foods. More to follow!

I urge caution using this device. It caused me to cough up blood still ten months on from stopping it. I'm currently being medically assessed. I reported it to the company at the time.
