Brilliant company to deal with

We stumbled across Lumle Travel via Travelzoo. The trip looked ideal but I was a little apprehensive as I'd never heard of Lumle Travel, and going to somewhere like India, I really wanted to be reassured, I needn't have been, from booking to returning home everything was excellent especially the two key areas of communication and organisation. The guide provided Yash was excellent, very knowledgeable about the sites and history of the places we visited. All hotels and transfers were first class and I really couldn't recommend this holiday highly enough. Since getting home we have looked at Lumle's other packages and would definately use again.

Classic Galápagos & Amazon

Lumle Holidays’ Classic Galápagos & Amazon was an enjoyable trip overall. They used an extremely well-organised local company in Ecuador, Adventure Ecuador, and all of our guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Our Galápagos guide could benefit from a little extra training regarding group management, as he would sometimes walk ahead, meaning not all members of the group stayed together. One member of our group also had a small fall, and the guide did not appear to have a first aid kit with him or in the van. Lumle Holidays were prompt in replying to emails, which was appreciated. Unfortunately, they were unable to offer any flexibility regarding flight times, particularly our Miami layover. We also noticed the holiday price increased between checking in the morning and booking later that same afternoon. The itinerary lists accommodation names or states “or similar.” One of our accommodations was changed and we were not informed beforehand. This was only slightly disappointing, as the replacement accommodation did not have a pool. However, all of our accommodations were of an excellent standard. An added extra tour, the El Junco Lagoon Experience (Crater Lake), did not feel like good value for money at £195 per person. The excursion involved a short hike up wooden steps and a dirt trail to a freshwater lake where you can admire the scenery and do some birdwatching. While pleasant, we personally did not feel it justified the cost.

Everything went as planned from being met at the airport to being dropped off. The hotels were very good and the driver excellent on very bad roads

Magical Peru

We covered a lot of miles in a short space of time and saw so much. Beautiful scenery, friendly people and fantastic guides. Lovely food everywhere we went.

Had an interesting fortnight in Nepal…

Had an interesting fortnight in Nepal and Bhutan with Lumle Holidays. Everything that was offered in their sales pitch happened. The guides, drivers and hotel staff were kind and considerate going out of their way to help two octogenarians. Due to our age we could not manage everything offered for our trip but our guides recommended alternatives. In Nepal we travelled as a friendly party of twelve in a minibus. In Bhutan we had a car with a guide and driver who treated the two of us right royally. The hotels were 3 to 4 star, small and and typically local not international faceless places. An excellent and interesting holiday at a reasonable cost from Lumle.
