After 30 years being a Marriott owner
After 30 years being a Marriott owner , I realize that this company exists soleley to bleedmoney from unsuspecting buyers and customers. I made the mistake of purchasing points last December when shortly thereafter my husband was diagnosed with serious chronic illness which necessitates constant care and expensive medication not covered by health insurance, limiting our future travel plans . I pleaded with Marriott to release us from this last purchase. They said no, and unilaterally finalized the purchase without my expressed written approval. Thirty years spending almost $300k in purchases and maintenance fees didn’t matter, illnesses and travel limitations be damned. These people are soulless and care only for money they can extract from you . I wouldn’t recommend Marriott to anyone .

This was the absolute worth and inappropriate service my family has even had to experience. We had a recent death in the family and the agent was only interested in upselling the vacation package when our family just needed to book a hotel to stay near the funeral home. Pushy and inappropriate on every level. Taking advantage of people at the worst is an insane business practice. I have tried for a week to log a formal complaint and go through their channels, only to be bounced around by AI bots and email replies.

MVC has lost their way.
We’ve been owners at Marriott Mountainside for nearly twenty years. You’d never know that by the treatment we receive from MVC. Just returned from the worst experience we’ve ever had there. Unfortunately MVC isn’t interested in anything except extracting more money with all sorts of tomfoolery. We left our vacation early after MVC gave us one of the worst rooms on the property and a crew parked and operated a large crane outside our window. Any notice from MVC, nope. MVC has lost their way. They had a great system where you would see families year to year because they had a similar vacation week. In MVC’s attempt to fix something that wasn’t broken, they have ruined what used to be a nice experience. My recommendation, don’t frequent MVC or Marriott. Don’t give them one red cent. They don’t care about you, your family or your experience. They just want to tap your finances and drain you dry. They’re nothing more than financial goons, Trust Pilot won’t let me use the original term. It was far more accurate. I do not recommend to family friends or even enemies. Just DON’T DO IT! Run away quickly while holding your wallet tight.

I own a timeshare at Marriott Harbour…
I own a timeshare at Marriott Harbour Point in Hilton Head and the annual fee is consistently more than it would cost to book as a non-owner. Today, I received a pitch about the value of buying into the MVC point program. They offered to reduce the cost of 4000 points ($70,000) by a generous ($7K) as a gift for taking the timeshare off my hands -- but only if I committed to the new program before seeing the contract. What concerned me more than the pressure tactics was the lack of transparency on what points actually buy at what resorts. The good name of Marriott was thrown around a lot and yes, we like staying at Marriott hotels. But as a I mentioned to the salesperson, that's because open markets work and those hotels have to provide value to keep the profits coming. And therein lies the problem with MVC and my timeshare in Hilton Head. Closed markets, like dictatorships, have winners and losers. Marriott is letting my timeshare go into the toilet and the low prices the public pays -- lower than my fees -- are evidence of that.

Our aunt passed away while in…
Our aunt passed away while in possession of a deed from this company. They insisted that we pay 1200 dollars purely as an administrative charge to get rid of the deed during an extremely stressful time for our family. They were highly unprofessional. I would strongly recommend staying away from this awful company as they clearly engage in exploitative practices.
