They will rip you off
I booked a cruise with them and changed my mind. I was still well within the window for a full refund minus bank processing fees. However, they charged me $1000, which was 25 percent of the final price of $4000, because it was a special eclipse cruise with a special cancellation policy. This, despite the fact that I never saw the special eclipse cruise web page. They charged me the regular rate (because that's where I found the cruise) and then charged me the cancellation fee for the higher eclipse cruise rate. Don't trust them! If you want to see actual documentation of this rip-off, read: 1) I did a google search and found Nile Cruisen's website. 2) I emailed them and we began correspondence to finalize the booking. This is the relevant excerpt from their email to me: "Booking and Payment Terms To confirm your reservation, we require: A scanned copy of the passports for all travelers, OR names as passports, and nationalities. A 50% deposit of the total package price. Please send your flight details, or pickup/drop-off points, 15 days before arrival to ensure seamless transfers. Please indicate which Accommodation Option you prefer so we can finalize your booking immediately." 3) They sent me a link to pay. No specification of a cancellation policy was made until after I paid. I made a $2000 deposit, 50 percent of the total package price for four people. They sent me an invoice. The following is a direct quote, word for word, of the pertinent section: "- 3 Nights Booking Nile Cruise Package $ 4000 Sub Total: $4000 DEPOSIT $ 2000 TOTAL: $ 2000 Date: 28 April. 2026 Issued by: Hager Mohamed 28 April. 2026 TRIP DATE: 30 /07 /2027 GUEST NO 4 adults [ 2 Twin cabins] -: Terms & Conditions: • Price Includes All Taxes & VAT. • The initial deposit is required to secure the booking. • Full Cancellation Policy: visit NileCruisen.com • Balance Advance (3 Days) or Cash Upon Arrival 4) Notice that the invoice says, "Full cancellation policy: visit NileCruisen.com." If you do a search on nilecruisen.com with the phrase "cancellation policy," you can scroll down to "terms and conditions," click on that, and scroll down to sections 4.1 and 5.1 where it very clearly says that for cancellations more than 90 days before sailing, the full payment will be refunded minus bank cancellation fees of approximately 10 percent. There is absolutely no mention of the special cancellation fees for the eclipse cruise in their terms and conditions section. 5) I booked the eclipse cruise before they added the specific eclipse cruise with the premium pricing. At the time I booked, the per person rate was $1000, and I paid $2000 for the 50 percent deposit for four people. The very fact that they accepted my payment according to the regular cruise pricing by itself demonstrates that their premium pricing and corresponding cancellation policy were not yet in effect at the time of my payment. Otherwise, they would have told me that I would have had to make a deposit of 50 percent of the higher price. It was $1799 per person at the time they started claiming that I was under the special eclipse cruise cancellation policy. Then because I was paying for 4 people, I would have had to pay 50 percent of that ($3598) and be refunded 25 percent of that, which would have been $1799. 6) Nile Cruisen told me via WhatsApp that I would be refunded and then did not answer my question on how much. I messaged them frequently with no response and three weeks later, my wife reactivated her WhatsApp account. They responded to her immediately. They also said it would take up to 15 business days to get the partial refund, depending on my bank's processing, but it took 27 business days. It is completely UNACCEPTABLE that they would ignore me for that long and then respond to someone else right away. Again, Nilecruisen accepted my payment under the regular rate, sent me an invoice that alluded to a 10 percent cancellation fee, and then applied the 25 percent cancellation fee under their special eclipse cruise package that was not available at the time that I booked. BTW, it would be 10 percent of what I paid at that point, not 10 percent of the package price. Read the cancellation policy. I'm due a further refund of $800. There is nothing that Nilecruisen can do to convince me otherwise. They claim that they want to be transparent. Their presentation of the cancellation policy was anything but transparent.

From the moment we met them, we felt in the safest, most knowledgeable, and welcoming hands possible. Youssef is not just a guide; he’s a storyteller who brings ancient Egypt to life. His knowledge of the temples, tombs, and history is incredible, yet he explains everything in a clear, engaging way. He was patient with all our questions, tailored the pace to our group, and always made sure we got the best photos and experiences at each site. His warmth, professionalism, and genuine love for what he does made every stop feel special. Zizo, our driver, was equally outstanding. He navigated the roads with skill and calm, always arriving on time and ensuring we felt safe and comfortable throughout. His friendly demeanor and quiet efficiency meant we could relax and enjoy the scenery between sites, knowing we were in excellent hands. Together, Youssef and Zizo created a seamless, stress-free, and deeply enriching experience. They worked as a perfect team, anticipating our needs, offering thoughtful recommendations, and making us feel like valued guests rather than just tourists. If you’re booking a Nile cruise with Nile Cruisen, request Youssef and Zizo. They are the heart of the journey and a big reason why our time in Luxor and Aswan will stay with us forever. Highly, highly recommended.

Amazing
From being picked up at our hotel (Wwhich was 30 mins out of town!)....all of the tours arranged, our accompanying guide ( who allowed us to specify times for tours etc....starting very early in the morning) the drivers were lovely....the cruise ship (Sonesta....something, can't remember)....the food, the staff....just totally everything....to when they dropped us off at our hotel, honestly it was wonderful.....I would totally use this company again

We traveled with Nile cruisen on the Concerto Plus in June 2026, as two young women. I’ll separate my review into the different areas of the overall experience. The agency: I overall found the experience of working with Nile cruisen very smooth. From answering my questions, payment, and coordination - Nile Cruisen was very helpful. I would’ve appreciated more feedback or recommendations in the process of selecting the boat. The guide: Mohammed was our assigned guide throughout the journey. He contacted us before arrival to ensure we would be picked up at the right time. He also helped us coordinate our itinerary to ensure we made our flight as we had an earlier flight than originally expected. His explanation of Egyptian history was very clear and down with such passion it kept us engaged even at 4:30 AM. He was respectful and patient with us throughout the whole journey. He warned us about traps and was transparent with us in where and where not to shop. He even stopped for buying us sweets as I had mentioned it was on my wish list to try knafeh in Egypt. A true representation of Egyptian hospitality. Mo was the highlight of our Nile cruise experience. I would absolutely recommend Mohammed! The boat: We chose the Concerto Plus based on some comments and content online. It overall looked exactly like the pictures. Our experience was ok/fair for not expecting luxury. The food options were few and overall did not meet our expectations. The rooms were spacious but the linens/sheets felt old and rugged. The AC in the room was not cool enough as we traveled in late June. Some spots looked old and not super hygienic. Overall the staff was cordial.
