I ordered NECA’s Horror Mystery Box as…
I ordered NECA’s Horror Mystery Box as a birthday gift for myself and was genuinely excited to see what I would receive. I completely understand that a mystery box is random and that you aren’t guaranteed specific characters or figures. However, I was extremely disappointed with what I received. My box contained 10 Toony Terrors figures, along with 3 Beetlejuice-related items, plus several other items that were not horror and made the overall assortment feel very repetitive. I have essentially no interest in Toony Terrors, so receiving such a huge percentage of the box in that particular line was especially disappointing. The biggest issue isn’t that I didn’t get the characters I personally wanted. It’s that the box felt poorly curated and lacking in variety. For something advertised as a Horror Mystery Box, I expected a more diverse assortment of horror collectibles and figures. Instead, opening the box felt like receiving a large amount of repetitive stock that NECA was trying to clear out. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre item was the one piece I was genuinely excited about, but unfortunately it was the exception rather than the rule. I understand NECA’s “all sales are final” policy, but I don’t think customers should be expected to simply accept an assortment that feels this disproportionately repetitive. I have contacted customer service to see whether NECA is willing to offer a courtesy exchange, store credit, or some other resolution. I have been a NECA fan and was really looking forward to this purchase, which honestly makes the experience even more disappointing. Mystery does not have to mean repetitive, and I hope NECA takes feedback like this into consideration when putting these boxes together. I would strongly recommend managing expectations if you’re considering one of these boxes, particularly if you aren’t interested in Toony Terrors.

I have had nothing but positive…
I have had nothing but positive experiences. When I have had to reach out to customer service, Crystal has always been professional and very helpful! She is the perfect person to represent the company. Also I usually order the blind boxes, and the variety is perfect! Im stocking up for toys for tots and some local foster kids.
