Do not buy a Volvo from Volvo UK I would avoid buying a car from Volvo UK. We bought a new XC90 2.5 years ago from a Volvo dealer. This car consistently broke down with the same issue 5 times over this period, leaving us stranded and without a car for a week on average each time (this time we have been without our car for 1.5 months). Despite the dealer's assurance the that the issue is sorted this happened over and over. We raised a complaint with the dealer and although they were understanding, they said that legally our case is with Volvo Cars UK. We raised the complaint there and after a couple of weeks we received a response that our case should be with Volvo Cars Financial Services UK (VCFS) and deferred our complaint. Despite me providing comprehensive documentation, VCFS done hardly any investigation, which was clear from their response, and rejected our complaint and said our only option is with the Ombudsman. Despite selling us a substandard vehicle, which clearly has had this issue from the beginning, no one connected to the Volvo brand in the UK is willing to assist a customer and resolve this issue for us. All that they have been doing is passing the responsibility on without actually doing something positive for their client. A very comfortable car, which is a joy to drive (when running), but the worst customer services I have ever experienced from a brand like this. Not good Volvo UK, not good at all. You will not see me champion your brand anymore.

Volvo EX90 – £1,250 a Month for a Car That Doesn’t Work - Extremely disappointed with our Volvo EX90. We are paying approximately £1,250 a month for a car that we currently cannot drive. The vehicle has suffered serious issues, including charging problems, and it has now reached the point where it will not open, lock or drive. It is currently sitting in a garage while we continue paying for a vehicle we cannot use. For a car at this price point, and especially one marketed as Volvo’s flagship electric SUV, this is simply unacceptable. What has been equally frustrating is the handling of the situation. Despite raising our concerns and providing supporting information from a Volvo technician, we have been unable to get a satisfactory resolution. We expected much better from Volvo and from a vehicle of this price and reputation. The whole experience has been incredibly stressful and disappointing. £1,250 a month for a car that doesn't work is simply not acceptable.

Our company's leased Volvo XC40 was taken to the authorised Volvo repairer on 14 April 2026 for a minor central-screen fault, arriving under its own power. More than two months later the car still will not start, we have been given no completion date and no courtesy vehicle, and communication has effectively stopped, while we continue to pay the full monthly rental. We have made a formal complaint and are still waiting for a resolution. We are posting the facts only, in the hope that it prompts action.

The satnav that kicks in after you've been through that avoidable traffic jam and accident, the updates that keep sending you reminders that can't be uploaded. You need to take the car in for a USB to be plugged into it. Spend 1.5h in the service centre for it to be jacked up and dial up used to install. What the heck? This has been the norm since i got it. no restart, hold down the internal lights to re kickstart the car wif, none of the "tricks" work. 1980s technology and poor customer service. I'm going elsewhere for the next one.

If you have £45k to spend on a car, you could buy a Volvo or just burn your money and watch it disappear. It’s pretty much the same experience. Don’t buy a Volvo, unless you want faulty cars, dreadful customer service and endless stress.

Auch nicht für Geld. Unclaimed ist fair. Claimed gibt das Mikrofon — nicht den Radiergummi.
