Highly Recommended!!
Customer satisfaction oriented has shown perfectly and genuinely by all the staffs during online booking process, pick up and drop-off motorhomes. Shuttle service was very helpfull for us with many of heavy luggages, Very reliable car (no isssue for our 10 days) even we tried to pass the Crown Range road from Wanaka to Queenstown with steep zigzags, hairpin turns, and a summit at 1,076 meters the motorhome was easy and fun to drive (some providers prohibit camper/motorhomes pass it). Road assistance or 24hr customer service was very attentive and responsive... Peace of mind for your incredible roadtrip in South Island

From Check In to Check Out the process…
From Check In to Check Out the process was smooth. We were warmly greeted by the staffs with our names on the board in the base and inside of our motorhome. We felt so welcomed. We rented the suite which was very comfortable for us a family of four and felt very homely. We travelled for 2400+ kms through the east and west coast without any machine issues, not even a failed start. The staff would even call us on our trip to check if we had any issues or any questions regarding our motorhome. The motorhome came with a manual which is brief and helpful when u require info on any operations inside the motorhome. It is very important to have a reliable motorhome during the road trip as the holiday depended on it, hassle free and peace of mind especially when u have little kids. Team Wilderness have delivered their promises professionally, and today we ended our 12 days trip satisfied and happy driving through the dramatic and majestic scenes of New Zealand's south island. Thank you team Wilderness for making this trip a memorable one.

Excellent motorhome layout & smooth experience from start to finish
We rented the "Double for 2" motorhome and found the layout exceptionally well thought-out for a couple. Features like the built-in mesh screens gave us complete control over ventilation and privacy. Storage was generous, with plenty of well-placed hooks that made managing a compact space effortless. We especially loved the swivel front seats, which maximised the living area so we could unwind comfortably after long days. The vehicle itself was easy to get used to driving, allowing us to travel seamlessly between hikes and scenic spots. Pickup and drop-off were smooth. The staff provided a thorough walkthrough of the vehicle, covering essential logistics like waste and grey water disposal before we set off. We highly recommend Wilderness and would definitely book with them again!

A Seamless South Island Adventure
We had an amazing experience hiring a motorhome from Wilderness for our South Island road trip. The team provided excellent service from booking through to drop-off, making the whole process easy and stress-free. The motorhome was tidy, comfortable and had everything we needed for an incredible adventure. I highly recommend Wilderness to anyone looking for a premium motorhome hire in New Zealand. We'll definitely be back!

Beware the hidden costs!
Van is expensive, but it is really high quality. You'll be warm, even in NZ winter. Only issue with camper was that the drains were clogged on handover and were a nuisance the whole trip. Otherwise, the camper itself is excellent. My complaint is that the service you get is really poor. They will try and charge you for everything extra. Need to use the first aid box, want to sit in a camping chair, etc - all comes with a fee. For a premium price already, this is really disappointing. The extra insurance option is also completely unaffordable (at almost an extra $90 a day in my case) so they took over $7,700 from me for a chipped windscreen!!! I assume most of this will eventually be refunded at the end of the trip, but beware that you might need thousands of dollars spare to be able to navigate their poor service. We've rented many campers, but Wilderness has the worse service of them all and for that reason I can't recommend them and you'll end up paying through the nose as we did. Buyers beware that the sticker price is not what it seems!
