Our Experience with WorldMark Indio (Wyndham)…

We attended a WorldMark Indio (Wyndham) presentation in November 2025 after winning a promo at the Palm Springs Pride Festival — a "free" weekend stay, gas card, and $100 dining credit for sitting through a 90-minute presentation. It turned into hours of pressure and misinformation. We told our sales rep, Mo Henry, upfront and repeatedly that affordability was a major concern — one of us was unemployed and we were in the middle of moving. He kept pushing anyway. He claimed the points program would "pay for itself" after five uses, that we could profit from renting out our unit during events like Coachella, and walked us through a 3-bedroom unit without disclosing it required far more points than the base package. We didn't see real price until after the tour: a bill for over $20,000. When we hesitated, we were told certain benefits would disappear if we didn't sign that day. We were handed to a financial advisor who ran our credit without our consent, then went back and forth on the offer like it was a negotiation game. We got maybe two minutes alone before being pressed for an answer. The signing itself was rushed. We said out loud we couldn't keep up, and it didn't slow down. We were never told about our legal right to cancel or that maintenance fees increase yearly. We were also told our info wouldn't be shared — within a week we were getting multiple calls a week from companies wanting to buy our points. We were honest about our situation from the start, and it was used against us. Save yourself the stress and think very carefully before attending one of these presentations.

Exit program

I purchased this timeshare several yrs ago but regretted the purchase almost immediately. They nickel and dime you for everything eg.. wifi to rolling unused pints over to the following yr, so I transferred my points to RCI and used the points that way. Over 5 months ago I decided to exit out of the program. They give you absolutely nothing for it, just take it back. They told me at that time it could take up to 20 weeks. Why does it take 5 months to get ride of a timeshare when they were able to sign me up in 1 day? How does it take 5 months when it takes 30 days to close on a house? I assumed it meant,”it COULD take up to 20 weeks but maybe less,”and yet here I am almost 6 months later! This is absolutely ridiculous and I plan to contact the Wa Attorney General about this. This is an absolute abuse of their owners/customers!

Wyndham isn't about vacation ownership, it is a predatory sales operation.

My wife and I have been Club Wyndham owners since our 2011 purchase in South Lake Tahoe, and over the years we've sunk roughly $200,000 into this timeshare. We wish we'd never signed that first contract. We're spontaneous travelers, and Wyndham's booking system, which often requires reservations a year out, has never fit how we actually vacation. Every "owner update" or sales presentation we've been pulled into has turned into a high-pressure ordeal. We've dealt with unprofessional behavior from staff, including one salesman who broke down crying and yelled at us simply because we said no. More recently, sales reps have pushed us hard toward third-party resale platforms like Vacation Share, RedWeek, and ResortShare, framing our points as an investment we could flip for cash rather than something we use to travel. It all came to a head on June 27, 2026, at the Oceanside Pier Resort. Our salesman, spent four hours (over what was supposed to be lunch) convincing us to upgrade to Club Wyndham Access points, even pulling up a logged-in RedWeek account to show us how we could resell them for thousands of dollars a weekend. We walked away having paid a $15,614 down payment and signed for $69,084 in new debt plus $55,334 in finance charges. At no point did he mention our rescission/cancellation rights. Instead, immediately after we signed, he asked us to call him back on July 13 about trading points, a call that conveniently distracted us until the 7-day cancellation window quietly expired. When I called him back as instructed, he suddenly "didn't remember" any of it and denied ever offering to help us trade our points. This isn't vacation ownership. It's a predatory sales operation designed to extract money from people under pressure, with no real transparency about cancellation rights and no follow-through on promises made to close the deal. We now are trapped by debt and mounting maintenance fees for something we were misled into signing.

Booked a room at El Paso airport

Booked a room at El Paso airport, booked a pay now no cancel option which sated immediate payment at time of booking, two weeks later no payment taken and after three calls customer care or reservations were not able to process the payment which puts me in an uncomfortable position on my company card, all I got was a non-English speaker telling me my reservation could be seen.

Everyone who works for this company

Everyone who works for this company, at least in our experience, is someone that has no problem taking advantage of people. They enjoy scamming people into these contracts. They give you all these ridiculous expectations about what locations you can visit using the timeshare. They will even tell you that you will make money renting out the timeshare while also being able to still use points to travel. These are only some of the empty promises we received from this company. After the experience had become so bad, we eventually decided to seek a way out. We had even hired someone to work with us to achieve this. Even in doing that, Wyndham was only willing to cancel 1 of the 2 timeshare contracts that they stuck us with. And to add insult to injury, they wanted us to pay them $20,000 to cancel a contract that we only used minimally. They don’t actually care about the services that we paid them for or whether you have a good experience or are even able to book a reservation! This is not an organization that you want to be tied to. They are money-hungry and will tell you anything to stick you with thousands in debt. We have been trying to communicate with them directly about the need for both contracts to be cancelled for the last 8 months. At first we were getting excuses from them. Now they won’t respond at all. This is all while we have still kept making payments to the company! They are blatantly ignoring the concerns of paying customers, so it would behoove you to keep your money far from them!
