I purchased a phone for a teenage as a Xmas gift. It only lasted 3 months. What they don't tell you is that the phone will have a crap battery. This one only lasted 3 months. iPhone batteries are not cheap. Batteries are not covered in the refund. The teenager had to wait until I could buy another battery. I will never use them or recommend them again.

Several issues with backmarket
Several issues with backmarket. First, they would provide the wrong delivery partner i.e. would say dpd instead of royal mail meaning I was unable to track device delivery. When device eventually arrived, it was not working, even though they said it was tested. Overall very poor experience. Customer service was not much of a help. Would not recommend and actually would advise people to go elsewhere.

Terrible customer service and lost accessories – avoid!
My device broke 7–8 months after purchase. Since Back Market provides a 1-year warranty, I filled out the online form to send it back. Back Market explicitly instructs customers to package devices securely, so I bought a brand-new shockproof case and securely wrapped the device in bubble wrap before shipping. I also included a note asking if I could pay to upgrade the handset. I received no reply regarding my upgrade request and was simply notified that a replacement device was being sent. When the replacement arrived, my shockproof case was missing. I contacted customer support to ask about the case and my letter, only to be told the case had been destroyed for "health and safety" reasons. When I tried to raise a complaint, my email replies were blocked. I called customer service and discovered the agent had closed my case without filing the complaint, despite promising a call from a manager within 24 hours. 48 hours later, I called back and spoke to an agent named Alp. He initially called me a liar until he checked the call logs and admitted his colleagues had given me incorrect information. He promised a supervisor would deal with it. After being passed around to two more agents (Betsey and Sagesse-Maell) over several days—and being asked yet again if I wanted to open a complaint—it became clear how disorganized and unhelpful their team is. Back Market’s customer service is beyond ridiculous. I strongly advise avoiding them and using alternatives like CeX instead.
