A First-Class International Basketball Experience
I had the opportunity to work the Baz’N Camp in Marseille as a college basketball coach, and I came away extremely impressed with the entire experience. Having been part of the men’s basketball program at City College of San Francisco (CCSF) and four state championship teams, I’ve been fortunate to experience firsthand what a championship culture looks like. It starts with organization, accountability, attention to detail, teaching, and creating an environment where players are expected to compete while also getting better. I saw many of those same qualities at the Baz’N Camp. Nassim Baziz does an outstanding job organizing the camp and creating a professional, positive environment for the players and coaches. You can tell that a lot of thought and preparation goes into making sure the athletes have a great experience. The camp does a great job of combining competition with player development while creating an atmosphere where young athletes can learn, improve, and enjoy the game. One of the things I enjoyed most about the experience was the opportunity to work with coaches and players from different countries and backgrounds. Basketball has a unique ability to bring people together, and that was very evident at the Baz’N Camp. Being able to exchange ideas, learn from different coaching perspectives, and interact with players from around the world made the experience even more valuable. It created an environment where everyone could learn from one another both on and off the court. As a college coach, I also appreciated being able to see how players competed, listened, responded to coaching, and interacted with others. Those are qualities we look for when evaluating potential college student-athletes, beyond just talent. What stood out most to me was the culture. The camp emphasizes development, competition, discipline, and doing things the right way. Those are many of the same principles I’ve experienced being around championship basketball at CCSF. If I had kids who were the right age and serious about basketball, I would definitely feel comfortable sending them to the Baz’N Camp. I know they would be in an environment where they would be coached, challenged, supported, exposed to different cultures and perspectives, and given an opportunity to become better basketball players. I’m grateful that I had the opportunity to be part of the camp in Marseille and to work alongside coaches and players from around the world. I look forward to working with Nassim and the Baz’N family again in the future.

I had the opportunity to be part of Bazn Camp as an assistant coach, and it was an amazing experience. The level of both the players and the coaching staff was extremely high, creating a very competitive and professional environment while still being enjoyable for everyone involved. I learned a lot from the coaches and really enjoyed working with such talented and motivated players. Without a doubt, one of the best basketball experiences I’ve had and, in my opinion, the best basketball camp in France. Highly recommended!
