My experience with Frontier Airlines was very disappointing. When I purchased my trip, I believed I was seeing the final cost of my ticket. I understand that the carry-on baggage fee may have been disclosed somewhere in the fine print, and I take responsibility for not catching it. However, I think airlines should make these additional charges much clearer upfront instead of presenting a price that appears final and then adding significant fees later. The bigger problem occurred on my return trip. I flew Frontier from Boston Logan to Atlanta. That flight was delayed because of weather, which I completely understand was outside Frontier’s control. After arriving in Atlanta, however, we boarded our connecting flight, were then told to get back off the plane, and eventually the flight was canceled. I was left stranded in Atlanta overnight. The next available flight wasn’t until around 5:00 p.m. the following day. Frontier offered a hotel and one meal voucher, but that still meant being stuck for nearly 24 hours because of the cancellation. I understand that delays and cancellations happen, and I’m not blaming Frontier for the weather. What bothered me was the combination of unexpected additional costs and the way the cancellation was handled after we had already boarded the aircraft. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering Frontier carefully review every baggage charge and policy before purchasing. A ticket that initially appears inexpensive can end up costing considerably more, and based on my experience, I would personally think twice before booking with Frontier again.

I felt singled out and targeted by the Frontier gate employees based on how I looked. While I was waiting in line, an employee specifically tagged me and demanded that I place my bag in the sizer. Before leaving home, I had checked Frontier’s posted size requirements online and physically measured my bag to make sure it complied. However, when I arrived at the gate, the opening of the physical bag sizer appeared smaller than the measurements Frontier advertised online. My bag met the dimensions I had been given, yet I was forced to pay a $99 fee at the gate or risk not being allowed to board. Passengers should not be given one set of measurements online and then confronted with what appears to be a different standard at the gate. My first time flying frontier and def will be the last. Plus the plane was FILTHY. The whole experience felt misleading, and predatory. I am working with U.S. Department of Transportation’s Office of Aviation Consumer Protection to try and help save other people! Do not fly Frontier!

I’m a frequent Frontier customer and genuinely like the airline’s prices and routes. Unfortunately, my recent customer service experience was terrible and wasted roughly three hours of my time just trying to book flights. The Frontier app would not let me access my account with my Discount Den membership and points because the security code would not come through to my email. I tried repeatedly, checked junk mail, verified my information, and even tried different email addresses. This happened while I was at ATL urgently trying to rebook after a delayed flight, so I ultimately had to book without using my Discount Den benefits. The next day, I tried booking a TPA–CLE round trip for my girlfriend and me and still couldn’t access my account. I called Frontier, and the first agent was very nice. He booked the flights, opened an IT ticket, and seated my girlfriend next to me. However, he told me I had to add her carry-on online. When I tried, Frontier’s system gave me another error saying my customer code was not recognized. I then had to call back and spend another 30–40 minutes just to purchase a bag. At that point, I asked whether Frontier would consider comping the carry-on given the hours I had already spent dealing with their technical issues. They declined, which I accepted. What really bothered me was the manager’s response. Instead of acknowledging the problem, she started quizzing me about whether I had followed Frontier’s “proper troubleshooting” procedures. I had already spoken with two Frontier employees, checked my junk mail, verified my credentials, and tried repeatedly. I finally told her that Frontier should be helping me solve the problem rather than questioning whether I knew their troubleshooting process. I also explained that when a company wastes this much of a customer’s time, I would expect some effort to make it right. Nothing was offered, and when I said I would report the experience, she simply said that was fine. Technical issues happen. What matters is how a company responds. Frontier turned a technical problem into a much worse customer service experience and showed very little concern for the amount of time it cost a frequent customer.

This is the 2nd time i have had this same experience with Frontier. My flight was for 3pm 8/28/26. It was delayed 3x before we were allowed to get on the plane. During the time we were almost finished boarding the someone came on the plane intercom and told us we would have to exit the plane because THE AIR CONDITIONING WASN'T WORKING and THE FLIGHT ATTENDANTS WHERE OUT OF THERE WORK HOURS. Once off the plane the flight appeared as canceled on the app, We were told that we would not get hotel accommodations because the flight was canceled due to the weather. Thankfully we were able to purchase our hotel ourselves. I will NEVER fly Frontier because of the noncommunication and the fabrication of the cancelation being due to weather. I DO NOT want any more vouchers offered being offered, a refund is well deserved. I also missed work today 8/29/26
