Quality and customer service could be better
Having purchased several of their products over the years, I've noticed a decline in the quality of their signature product, which is now made in Turkey. Ordered two pairs, and the black pair was missing a fastener. What I assumed would be a simple return became a Kafkaesque set of questions before they offered a return. They also became quite defensive when I pointed out the quality had declined, as it wasn't the first time a fastener was missing from a pair of trousers I had purchased from them. Now, after wearing the trousers for a few months, I don't expect them to last as long as previous versions. Best to look at alternatives.

I was extremely disappointed with these L’Estrange wool trousers. The care label clearly states that they are machine washable at 30°C using a mild detergent, yet every time I followed these instructions, the trousers shrank significantly—losing around 20% of their length after washing. On top of the severe shrinkage, they came out of the wash badly creased, misshapen, and visibly deformed, making them look far older than they were. For a premium product, this level of deterioration after washing according to the manufacturer's instructions is simply unacceptable. The care guidance appears to be inaccurate or, at the very least, highly misleading. Had I known these trousers required hand washing or delicate specialist care, I would never have purchased them. L’Estrange markets these as practical, everyday-wear trousers, but my experience has been the exact opposite. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not buy another pair. I feel I was misled by the product description and care instructions, and the quality has not met the expectations of an everyday wardrobe essential.

Very happy with the service in store at Coal Drops; great range of clothes and helpful staff. Was impressed with the style, range and choice of clothes. Casual-contemporary+. Clothes I can wear for the occasional office days, for evenings out or lounging at home.

Comfort with style
Excellent quality with priority given to comfort without compromising on style. The style is subtle yet noticeably premium in its appearance. I have been buying all my organic cotton t shirts, trousers and a jacket from Le Strange. Probably the best brand I have found in years. Slowly adding them to complete my wardrobe, keep up the solid work.
