I am very disappointed in the no kill…
I am very disappointed in the no kill shelter Hi Kitty Kitty in Chicago-I found the kitten I was interested in and completed all the forms and eventually was contacted by the rescue and given the meet and greet place and time. I then emailed several times to make sure the kitten was available but no responses-so I decided to take the long drive-I clicked on the direction's app on their website, and my GPS took me to a neighborhood but no physical address-I was thinking is this a scam? after driving 2 hours to the meet and greet I google the organization and found it. Parking is horrible as it is on street and they should tell you this in advance. I had to walk several blocks to find the residence. with that being said it is an actual residence with several floors. the main level had apx 50 cats no cages and to my surprise was very clean. I asked about the kitten and was told the owner never updated the profile and the kitten is over a year old already. I was so upset to hear this and left. they charge a $400 fee to adopt pure breed mainecoons and Siberians and when I asked how they know if they are pure bred, I was told they have big feet. To me they looked like long haired cats.

What’s the problem with wanting to adopt a 3rd cat??
Excuse my improper language, but this website is genuinely bullcrap and isn’t looking out at all for the wellbeing of the cats/kittens. I found a beautiful lilac point Siamese kitten, a breed I wanted for years and I was sooo happy when I found one available for adoption. I filled out the inquiry and later got emailed an application to fill out, which I did. I waited for about a week for them to get back only for it to be denied because I already own two cat. What. The. Hell. Who are these people to say I can’t adopt another cat because I already have a few, I’m not greedy, I just thought it be okay since I’ve always wanted a lilac point Siamese, and with my two cats I’d assume it would be a good environment as I could afford the kitten properly and it wouldn’t grow up lonely. Would they really prefer a new-time owner or a person with no other cats to adopt one only to raise it isolated and lonely?? It not only that, but I was COMPLETELY qualified to be able to adopt and raise it properly, yet apparently I can’t because I already have a couple cats. Absolutely unfair. I would not recommend to adopt a cat from this website as they obviously play favorites.. and considering the other reviews, they are also pretty unethical as well.

We applied twice for a mini pin thru…
We applied twice for a mini pin thru Petfinder. Private rescue. 200-280 adoption fee. It been 3 weeks. Have heard nothing. Not hello, goodbye, yes, no, go pound sand. In the meantime, we adopted a great dog thru another private rescue with no fee, just a voluntary donation. This site is not working if you want to find homes for these pets. Are the rescues even receiving the applications?

Don't Make It So Difficult to Adopt!!!!
Before you can contact people posting adoptable animals, you must agree to terms and privacy from Purina that are so long and legalese that I just closed out in disgust. Do THEY REALLY WANT TO GET PETS ADOPTED??? I feed Purina to my cat and always used it for my dogs, but I really resent all the nonsense one has to put up with on these adoption sites.
