This is the worst dating app. I have tried contacting them many times to stop my subscription and nothing happens. Most people on the site are not genuine, and therefore be very careful.

Wasted time and money! Tons of fake views and likes when you view prospects for free and just a few phantom messages after you purchase the subscription
It took me a few days to acknowledge that it was waste of money. When I found someone I really fell for on J1Live.com I tried to bow out of SIlversingles. It was not as easy as it seems. They don’t want to let you go and they have lots of tricks to renew your subscription without your authorization. These tricks are hidden in their T&C so you have to be very careful if you decide to join this site. But I recommend taking heed of all these negative reviews and not getting involved in this garbage.

If one has the use of a private plane…
If one has the use of a private plane or where otherwise one can jet set across the country or to far away capitals of the world, then this is the website for you. If you are looking for someone within 20 to 50 miles, this site is awful. They have no distance preferences and so trying to find somebody anywhere even remotely close by within a several hour drive is a waste of time.

I recently renewed my subscription and came away disappointed with both the platform design and the overall value of the service. The biggest issue was the account verification process. My account was temporarily restricted due to photo verification concerns. I was asked to provide additional verification, including a video. When I submitted an MP4 video, support indicated they could not open it and requested it in an "acceptable format," but no specific format was provided. After multiple submissions and additional effort on my part, the account was eventually restored. My concern is that the verification process appears overly restrictive and inconsistent. The photos in question had already been accepted on other dating platforms, yet I was still required to go through an extended review process. Even updating profile photos can trigger additional verification requirements. I also found the communication system frustrating. In one case, someone expressed interest in my profile, but I was not given a simple way to start a conversation. Instead, I was required to send a meeting request with a date. The request expired without a response, and a normal conversation never had a chance to develop. In my opinion, this creates unnecessary pressure and reduces opportunities for natural interaction. Another concern is the recent redesign of the site. In my experience, the changes made the platform less user-friendly rather than more effective. The increased controls and restrictions seem to make communication more difficult, not easier. I also tested the service across several major metropolitan areas. For my age range (approximately 40–70), I found the active user base to be relatively small compared with other platforms. I also found the overall quality and completeness of member profiles and photos to be below my expectations. To be fair, support ultimately restored my account and resolved the verification issue. However, the overall experience felt more focused on managing user behavior than helping people connect. Pros: - Account was eventually restored. - Verification is intended to reduce fake profiles. Cons: - Confusing and time-consuming verification process. - Poor guidance regarding accepted file formats. - Communication restrictions that can prevent conversations from starting. - Additional hurdles when updating photos. - Recent redesign reduced usability in my experience. - Limited active user base in several cities I tested. - Profile quality and photos were generally weaker than on competing platforms. Overall, I cannot currently recommend the service based on my experience.
