Hidden import charges – very misleading pricing I feel genuinely misled by SweetCare and would not have placed this order had the true final cost been made clear to me. I ordered a FOREO BEAR 2 from what appeared to be a European/UK-facing website. The entire purchasing process was in GBP and I paid the amount shown at checkout, including delivery. I did not realise that the product would be shipped from Portugal and that, after I had already paid, I would be presented with a further £62.33 in import charges by UPS. My final cost was £273 — considerably more than the approximately £229 for which I could have bought the same product from a UK retailer. The most frustrating part is that SweetCare knows exactly where the goods are being shipped from and knows that UK customers may have to pay import VAT, customs-related charges and courier fees. Yet this was not made sufficiently clear to me at the point where I was deciding whether to purchase. Yes, there may be information buried somewhere in the Terms & Conditions. But customers should not have to investigate international shipping arrangements and lengthy terms before every purchase. The important information is the actual total cost of buying and receiving the product. Even UPS itself recommends that recipients are informed of duties, taxes and fees before the transaction to avoid unexpected charges. Had I known at checkout that my £273 purchase would include an additional £62.33 payable to UPS, I simply would not have bought from SweetCare. I would have purchased from a UK retailer instead. This feels less like transparent pricing and much more like a business model based on hoping the customer will only discover the real cost after the order has already been paid for. I am extremely disappointed and would strongly recommend that UK customers check the final landed cost very carefully before ordering from SweetCare.

I want to warn anyone considering buying from SweetCare. Our experience with this store is a prime example of how being an honest and transparent customer is rewarded with complete disrespect, unexpected fees, and withholding of funds. January 2025 (Delivery to Montenegro): The order was delayed and then declared lost after a month. Customer support refunded the full amount. However, two weeks later, the parcel unexpectedly arrived, a fact the store wasn't even aware of. Wanting to maintain a fair, long-term relationship, I proactively contacted support so they could charge me for the delivered items and they did. Doing so turned out to be a huge mistake. July 2025 (Delivery to Montenegro): A second order worth €216 with promised free DHL shipping. Upon arrival, we were hit with an unexpected €95 fee on top of the order price (hidden brokerage/customs charges never mentioned during checkout). After a month of unhelpful back-and-forth emails, we paid the amount. Support merely offered a small discount voucher that didn't come close to covering our €95 loss. November 2025 (Delivery to Croatia): Placed solely to use the voucher so we wouldn't lose our money. This was the only order that arrived without issues. June 2026 (Delivery to Croatia, €345 Order): We gave the service one last chance, assuming their logistics had improved. The order failed to arrive on the estimated dates (June 30 – July 1). Support later informed us that one item was out of stock and refunded the cost of this product, as well as removed it from the total order. By the mid of July, the parcel never arrived and then somehow ended up returned to their warehouse due to logistics failures on their end. After waiting over 1.5 months, support asked if we wanted a reshipment or a refund. Of course we requested a full refund but we never received full refund. That is SweetCare received ALL items we fully paid for back at their warehouse in perfect condition, yet refused to issue a full refund, withholding €35 from the amount paid without any valid reason. To be clear: shipping was originally free, and the failed delivery was entirely due to their logistics issues. Imagine that when my very first order was lost and then suddenly delivered, I had the honesty to report it and pay for the goods. When their system failed again and all items were safely returned to their shelves, they had the audacity to keep my money. This behavior is borderline fraudulent. Transparent communication only works one way with SweetCare. I strongly advise against ordering from them unless you are willing to waste your time, money, and patience. I will do everything possible to ensure that as many people as possible learn about the risks associated with placing an order through this service. Update after service response I am writing to express my strong disagreement with your position regarding this matter. The order in question consisted entirely of standard cosmetic products, including hair care and skincare items. None of these products were labeled or designated as dangerous goods restricted from transport within the European Union. If your platform allows customers to place orders for delivery to a specific country, it is your responsibility to flag or restrict products that you claim cannot pass customs. I am in no way at fault for customs rejecting products that your system permitted me to purchase for delivery to my destination. The operational and shipping costs incurred to return your products back to your warehouse shelves should not be deducted from my payment. To be clear: the package was never delivered within the agreed timeframe, nor was it delivered at all, yet you have refused to issue a full refund. Since you refuse to take accountability, the only remaining option to resolve this dispute is to initiate a chargeback through my bank. Your service has proven to be completely lacking in customer care and is not a platform that can be trusted.

Auch nicht für Geld. Unclaimed ist fair. Claimed gibt das Mikrofon — nicht den Radiergummi.
