Absolutely love this tan

Absolutely love this tan, I use the oud rouge now as I have pale skin and the red undertone suits me so much better. It smells gorgeous too. I also use the face tanner regularly which gives my face a lovely warm glow without being to obvious. Customer service is brilliant too, I recently ordered the wrong shade, noticed before it got shipped out so I thought I'd try my luck in asking them to change it and to my surprise they did! Not many retailers are willing to amend an order once it's been processed so I was very thankful! Tandae is a 10/10

I've bought this tan since it was…

I've bought this tan since it was launched. Always looks super natural and fades so well. I had an issue recently with a leaking package (that I hadn't noticed for 3 months as I'd been using another bottle from that order). Anyway, I emailed them a picture, and before I'd even had a reply, there was a new bottle in the post to me. That's 10/10 customer service and will keep me coming back.

Rouge Oud

As many of these reviews start, I have been self tanning for 20+ years and have spent hours perfecting the prep and application. I’d recently really enjoyed another fake tan which is popular at the minute and develops in 2hrs but it’s pricey so after seeing sooo many girls on social media promoting this tan, I thought I’ll try it. Result, very disappointing. I bought the rouge oud in ultra dark (I believe) and it just didn’t look good on my skin at all. The smell is nice at first, then develops into typical fake tan smell. It transfered onto bed sheets (expected) which isn’t a problem for me but I know others don’t like this. On my skin it just looked so patchy and not natural at all which was most disappointing as I’d actually opted for the rouge range due to the undertones being well suited to paler skin types. It’s rare I leave any review but I just feel there’s so many ‘paid partnership’ reviews that it’s hard to find honest ones.

We are disappointed to hear that your tan developed patchily, as this is certainly not the usual feedback we receive from Rouge Oud. We have thousands of customers who purchase and use the range regularly with great results, so we'd really appreciate the opportunity to understand your prep, application and aftercare routine to establish what may have caused this result for you. Rouge Oud was specifically developed with a red guide colour to complement a wide range of skin tones, including fairer complexions. However, as with any self tan, the final result can be affected by skin condition, preparation, application and the skincare or body products used before and after tanning. Regarding transfer, some transfer of the guide colour during the 6–8 hour development period is completely normal and something we are transparent about. Once the tan has developed and the guide colour has been rinsed away, transfer should be minimal. We would also like to address your comment regarding paid partnerships. While we do work with creators to promote Tandae, as many brands do, this doesn't take away from the thousands of genuine customers who purchase, repurchase and independently recommend our products. We welcome honest feedback and would never expect every product to work identically for every person's skin. We only wish you had contacted us directly before leaving your review, as our Customer Support Team would have been more than happy to look into your experience, offer tailored advice and work with you towards a resolution. I love the Tandae products and recently…

I love the Tandae products and recently switched to the deepest oud tan which is now my favourite!! The colour is a deep tan and lasts well, the smell is amazing! Customer service is excellent, I had an issue with a parcel damaged during delivery which was not Tandae’s error and they quickly sent out a new one with helpful, friendly communication. Great product and fantastic service! Thank you Tandae.

I really wanted to love this

I really wanted to love this, but it’s just not great. It clings to the tiniest bit of dry skin, so can go on patchy. It clings to knees and elbows like fake tan from the early 2000’s used to do and fade really patchy. So disappointing,

From what you've described, this sounds less like an issue with the tan itself and more like a skin preparation concern. Even the fake tans from the early 2000s would naturally cling to dry patches, so achieving a smooth, even result really comes down to a thorough pre-tan routine. We always recommend exfoliating well beforehand and applying an oil-free moisturiser to any dry areas, such as the knees, elbows, hands, and feet. The patchiness during application can also sometimes be down to the mitt or applicator not having quite enough product on it. Using a little more product on the mitt can help it glide more smoothly over the skin and provide even, streak-free coverage.
