True North Gentlemen is a SCAM They advertised a 100% linen T-shirt. Not what I received. 100% pure polyester. Could have Ordered on Amazon with next day shipping. Before ordering I looked up reviews and the general consensus was long ship times. Which I figured was worth the wait so I ordered this shirt for myself. It took over a month to arrive and then read the label and it was 100% polyester. I double checked my order receipt and website to confirm they indeed advertised linen. I run hot and sweat a quite profusely so have been switching to natural fibres. I’ve tried to return the shirt for a refund or at least have them send me the actual shirt I ordered, gave them benefit of the doubt that it could have been a miss pick of the item. They will not admit nor deny the error on their part and won’t pay for a shipping label. Why should the expense be on my end when I did not make the mistake. They offered a 10% refund which won’t even cover the taxes.

The jacket was late arriving, and when it did arrive the cheapness of the fabric was disappointing, and the zipper was broken. Two of the zipper teeth were severely out of alignment causing the zipper to get caught half way up. I sent photos and a video upon their request, but they replied that obviously the slider simply needed to be realigned, and that could easily be done with pliers! In the end, they gave me 3 options, which of course involved a return at my own expense to their warehouse in China for their inspection before a refund could be issued. That would have cost almost as much as the jacket.

The company held itself as being in the Netherlands: it is in China. It showed photos and description of high-quality man-made suede jackets: the one I bought for $67 CAD was poorly dyed - so the colour was wrong, the label said L but was medium and the sleeves were 2" shorter than the jacket's size chart; the site photos show a reinforced collar, partial lining and ribbed stitching on collar and hem - none of which were on my jacket. Complaining to the very polite "Sophie" offered me 10% to keep the garment, or offered to return it at my expenses ($35 CAD) to China for refund or replacement. Further complaints to the company and sending lots of photos, plus research about the TTHG company, increased the instant discount to 30% - after I threatened to get my credit card company to charge back the $67. I did contact my bank, sent them 15 photos of the seller's site and my purchase. It told me Mastercard then wanted to have a 3rd party tailor or dressmaker examine the garment and write a report on its letterhead! When I expressed disbelief, the bank offered me $50 to basically drop the complaint. Between the 30% from China and the bank's $50 I DID get my money back but felt dirty doing so: this company should be driven out of business and the banks and Mastercard should care more about doing the right thing - but I guess only the $$ count in 2026. My large amounts of time spent on the whole thing was priceless, unlike the responses from Mastercard and my bank, but I learned a few things: NEVER assume anything with online purchases; NEVER deal with a company that is actually in a foreign country while trying to mislead the buyer on its actual location. We have lots to good firms to choose from in N. America; and do not expect your bank or CC company to have your back - no matter how good a customer you are. Welcome to the Brave New World of commerce.

If I could leave a zero I would. What I received was not even close to what I ordered, their sizing is off, what they send isn’t what they advertised (design and sizing not the same or the material that is claimed to be). Two of the items I’ve ordered are identical pair of pants but different colours, they don’t remotely look the same or match the photos they had on their website. I’ve submitted a claim and requested a refund. I’m going to hold fast to them eating the cost for return. On top of that took twice as long for it to deliver as they claimed it should. Avoid with all cost unless you like to get scammed.

Auch nicht für Geld. Unclaimed ist fair. Claimed gibt das Mikrofon — nicht den Radiergummi.
