Wicked provide good value campers
Wicked provide good value campers - not spectacular campers. But that’s money in your pocket to do other things. Things will go wrong but they are only a WhatsApp away. Wouldn’t recommend a weekend pickup - it’s a bit random. And the adventure starts when you work out how to start it. But that’s part of the adventure. It will get you there, they know mechanics that could help if something breaks, and they’ll try their best to get it resolved. We had a front door window fall off the tracks and had to fix it ourselves, because the remote mechanics had no capacity to fit it quickly. But even an expensive camper has that problem. It’s the lack of instruction on the rental that probably caused use the angst. A website with pictures of everything about the vehicle would have been a great. But the QR code provided on the sticker on the van was irrelevant. Sounds like I’m bagging their vehicles - but they mostly work.

Had a great experience with wicked campers. They were easy and friendly to book with. The campervan was perfect for our 10day trip around Perth and drove fairly smoothly. Would definitely recommend and hire again

Great car hire with Wicked Campers in…
Great car hire with Wicked Campers in Cairns This was the second time we’ve hired from Wicked Campers, and once again everything was excellent – we’d love to come back! The pick-up was, as always, very friendly, straightforward and well organised. We were already familiar with the 4WD and were very satisfied with it this time too. It has everything you need to be on the road for several weeks. In short, our two bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom are perfect for us.

We rented a 4WD with rooftop tents for our trip and, unfortunately, our experience was far below expectations. From the start, there were numerous issues with the vehicle and camping equipment. The rear rooftop tent was unusable because essential poles and pins were missing. The passenger-side tent had a broken zipper, holes in the mosquito net, and one of the door straps was missing. The front tent straps repeatedly came loose while driving, forcing us to stop several times to retighten them. The kitchen equipment was dirty and covered in grease, so we had to clean everything before we could use it. On top of that, the fridge battery and auxiliary battery drained extremely quickly, the rear light was broken, the advertised USB ports were missing, the driver's side wing door couldn't lock properly, and parts of it were loose. The biggest disappointment was the roadside assistance. It was extremely difficult to reach anyone—we sometimes waited up to 15 hours for a response—and when we finally did, the assistance was minimal and, at times, quite rude. The missing parts for the rooftop tent were never resolved, meaning we couldn't use one of the tents for our trip. After returning the vehicle, it took almost two months to receive a final response. The company eventually waived the additional kilometre charge and refunded us for the battery issues and the replacement tyre, which we appreciate. However, these gestures did not make up for the significant inconvenience and loss of enjoyment during our holiday, nor for the lengthy and frustrating complaints process. It's disappointing because this could have been a fantastic experience with a properly maintained vehicle and responsive customer service. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this company.
