AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS ! THIS IS NOT A UK OWNED COMPANY. Also known as Indie Campers and Just Go Motorhomes My experience with this company was abysmal and that is putting it lightly. Missing pre ordered items then fobbed off when I asked where they were. Dirty stained mattress with insufficient bed linen provided. I had to buy a camping mattress on route at £60 to make it work. Vehicle broke down half way through the trip, called and called with no answers, managed to limp the vehicle to the next town and only by a text message service with AI could I start speaking with the company. I eventually got a call handler pick up the chat and was told to repair the vehicle at my own cost and they would pay me back. Took into the local garage. They flagged it and said it had been in the same garage 8 days earlier for the exact same fault. This means Indie Campers just turned it around and sent it straight back out. The garage told me it could cost a few hundred quid or they could clear the fault codes and see how it goes. I took the latter as I was wary of paying a big repair bill. The vehicle worked for 1.5days then went into limp mode. I couldn’t get more than 20mph going up hills in the Highlands of Scotland. All in all 4 angry voicemails over 3 days and not once did I get a call back. Another time said it was putting me through after 10 mins then cut off. Managed to get the AI chat bot again and it told me to pull over. Well I knew I wasn’t going to get assistance so I decided to limp it back to Edinburgh. Not being able to get hold of the breakdown line I called sales and you guessed it. They picked up immediately. I was furious and the lady was practically laughing at me and said well I’m not sure I can be any help. Asked for a call back NOT A CHANCE no call back ! On checkout I was told, we can offer you 14% money back as compensation but if you don’t accept you’ll likely not get anything. Basically good luck with that. So I said yes. 3-weeks later and not a sign of the money coming back to me I am owed. ABSOLUTE SCAM COMPANY, RUINED MY HOLIDAY AVOID AVOID AVOID !!!

Bunk Campers has been gutted
Approx 4 months ago, bunk campers was taken over by indie campers, which laid off a load of staff and reduced customer service and roadside assistance to AI bots. It’s impossible to talk to anyone, and the only people you meet in person (at the depot on pick-up and drop-off) aren’t allowed to give out a phone number. No one answers the bunk campers phones - they exist only in theory. It’s not the fault of the staff, who have been reduced to ‘human resource’ and simply aren’t permitted to provide the customer service that they used to. You can get away with having a decent trip - but only if you get lucky and nothing goes wrong.

adviceDo NOT book them...We booked with bunk camper which is just a front for Indie campers. Last minute three days before our holiday they informed us we had to collect our campervan from Belfast rather than Dublin..no explanation.. it is ruined our holiday plans as we had to cancel all our arrangements .. trying to get in contact with a human is just impossible they use bot system

I made a simple mistake on booking
I made a simple mistake on booking. Noticed my mistake as soon as it was booked. Tried to rectify my mistake or cancel booking within 30 minutes of booking. Lost €1200 they will only refund €60 Thieves

1 star – Multiple vehicle problems and very disappointing customer service Unfortunately, our experience with Bunk Campers was very disappointing. During our rental, we experienced several problems with the motorhome, both technical and relating to its equipment. Among the problems we encountered were: * The onboard electrical system stopped working when the engine was switched off. The control panel went completely black and the error message E517 H appeared. * The grey water tank could not be emptied, which was a significant problem during our trip. * We had warning signals appearing on the dashboard, which was concerning and raised questions about the technical condition of the vehicle. * The motorhome was very sparsely equipped, particularly with crockery, kitchen utensils and other basic equipment that we expected to be provided. * We repeatedly contacted Bunk Campers’ support and reported the problems, but we did not receive adequate and timely assistance. The situation became particularly difficult towards the end of our trip. As the problems could not be resolved in time, we had to organise a hotel for our final night ourselves. We informed Bunk Campers and requested reimbursement of the additional costs. Unfortunately, despite contacting them repeatedly, we did not receive a timely response that provided a satisfactory solution. We were therefore left to organise the necessary alternative accommodation ourselves. We understand that technical problems can happen with a rental vehicle. That alone would not justify such a poor review. What disappointed us was the combination of several problems and, above all, the way the situation was handled by Bunk Campers. Instead of simply enjoying the final part of our holiday, we had to spend considerable time dealing with technical issues, contacting customer support and arranging alternative accommodation. Ireland itself was a wonderful destination and we had many beautiful experiences. However, the condition and equipment of the motorhome and the lack of effective support significantly affected our overall experience. We are still waiting for a satisfactory resolution regarding the additional costs we incurred. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Bunk Campers.
