Definitely wouldn’t recommend - Disappointing experience
We booked a Fiat Scudo campervan in Iceland for 9 days in August. First of all, the campervan we booked was from Campervan Iceland, or so we thought. During our communication with them, suddenly Konvin started replying to our emails, but still we hadn’t realized that our booking was basically transferred to another company. It should almost be illegal to book a vehicle from a company and then it turns out you’ll get it from another one. They were late to pick us up from the airport. Initially, they said they’d be there in 10’ and we ended up waiting for ~45 minutes. The campervan’s condition was far from great. The table and the kitchenware were in terrible condition and the stove was rusted. The curtains were impossible to pull apart or pull together at night and they were also torn. The rear indoor light was falling apart. The tube of the water tank was constantly falling apart too during out commute and not only then. The gas canister was half empty, so we had to look for another one pretty soon after we got the campervan. Overall, the money we spent on this vehicle was not at all reflecting the quality of it. Unacceptable that we weren’t aware we weren’t booking with an agency of Campervan Iceland or whatever Konvin actually is. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone travelling to Iceland.

Great experience with Camper Iceland!
We had a great experience with Camper Iceland in July 2026. The van was clean and fresh, well equipped, and exactly as described online. Before we arrived in Iceland, our questions via email were quickly and efficiently dealt with. The staff at handover were helpful, explained everything in the van and gave lots of advice about driving in Iceland. Return of the van went smoothly too. I would definitely hire with this company again.

PERFECT EXPERIENCE
We were picked up at the airport by Felix. He really took the time for us. We received a lot of explanation. He was very hospitable. The camper was 1.5 years old, low mileage, like new. Felix gave his phone number in case anything came up; a whatsapp message would be enough. We used it twice and received a direct answer. Great service. We had a fantastic holiday thanks to this perfect camper and the service. Upon our return after 3 weeks, we were once again received very well by Felix. Everything was handled properly, afterwards we were neatly taken to the airport. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!!

Good Experience Renting 4 Wheel Drive with Hard-Sided Camper
We rented the Camper Thor, a 4 wheel drive truck with hard-sided camper the first two weeks of July. The vehicle and camper were very clean and as advertised. Before we took the vehicle, the staff showed us how everything works, how to access the spare tire and work the jack, how to change the propane tank, and where the fuses were. The tires were in great shape with lots of tread life, and everything worked well for the entire rental. We texted some questions to the company while we were underway, and they always responded promptly with helpful answers. I did pay for the additional sand & ash protection and the gravel protection insurances since I was going to spend most of my time on the F roads. Returning the vehicle went smooth. Would definitely rent from them again.
