WORST EXPERIENCE EVER
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! First of all they let us pay an extra €400 because they did not accept the Visa we have initially booked with. Because we wanted to use another card we had to take an extra insurance with Eurocar itself and pay IN FULL CASH. We had to change cars due to this issue and the new one had NO SEATBELTS? The answers was: we don't do that in Albania. We insisted on getting a new car and with this one the Apple Carplay as well as the Gps wasn't working ... and the best part of all: we didn't receive any contract whatsoever ... Never book with them please!

COMPLETE AND UTTER SCAM — AVOID AT ALL COSTS We experienced what amounts to outright fraud with this car rental company, and we want to clearly warn future customers. The insurance extortion: I didn't have my physical credit card with me, only on my phone (Apple Pay / Google Pay), a payment method accepted absolutely everywhere in the world — except, apparently, at this rental agency. He immediately seized on this as an opportunity to force us into purchasing insurance at €450 for 10 days, roughly half the price of the base rental itself. We clearly stated that we did not want this insurance and insisted multiple times on declining it, as we already had our own personal insurance covering this type of rental. It made no difference: he made it clear he would not hand over the vehicle unless we paid for this insurance. This was flat-out forced selling, with no valid justification, for a product we neither needed nor wanted. We then offered to put the rental contract under the name of another member of our group, who did have his physical card with him. Flat refusal: not possible, he said, or he wouldn't receive his commission from Discover Cars. Except — as if by magic — the moment we agreed to pay the imposed €450 insurance fee, that same person's card was suddenly accepted without any issue whatsoever. Clear proof that the whole "physical card" story was nothing more than a pretext to extort this money from us. This man knew full well that we had no alternative: traveling as a family with children, no other rental option available on site, and no refund whatsoever if we cancelled at that point. He knowingly exploited our total dependence on him to force our hand. This is a dishonest, calculated, and purely predatory practice. The vehicle itself was a hazard on wheels: the bodywork was damaged all over, the engine warning light was on the entire time, and fuel consumption was staggering — two full 80-liter tanks for barely 600 km driven. When we raised the issue of the engine light, the response was as absurd as it was insulting to our intelligence: apparently it was due to "poor fuel quality in Albania." Having worked as a mechanic myself, I can say without hesitation that this explanation simply doesn't hold up: an engine warning light indicates a genuine mechanical or electronic issue, full stop. A vehicle is either roadworthy or it isn't — and this one clearly wasn't. We literally put our family's safety at risk driving this poorly maintained vehicle, with no choice in the matter. In summary: a rental agency that practices forced selling, payment extortion, openly lies to justify its practices, and puts vehicles on the road in an unacceptable, even dangerous mechanical state. We strongly advise against using this agency, especially for families with no backup options.

We used the car completely normally
We used the car completely normally, but an hour after returning it, we noticed an unauthorized €20 charge on our card for an "unwashed car." Here is why this is completely unfair and unprofessional: 1. The car wasn't clean when we picked it up. 2. Zero transparency. Nobody mentioned during the pickup process that we were required to wash the car before returning it. 3. Dishonest drop-off. When we handed the keys back, the staff inspected the car, said absolutely nothing, and cleared us to go. They waited until we left to secretly charge our card. Be very careful renting here. Check your bank statements closely, because they will slap you with hidden cleaning fees without saying a word to your face. Would not recommend.

I am a very optimistic guy
I am a very optimistic guy, and this experience has left me in awe of such a display of medevil clownship at the level you would find in bedtime stories. We were mocked and rediculed after recieving only sighs of discomfort for the mere question if we could rent a car. He would only for double the price we could see online. I think this is a perfect place to AVOID if visiting Ablania try any car rental close near the airport and negotiate a good price is my advice.

SCAMMER. We had a very unpleasant experience with this rental company. They tried to charge us a fine without explaining why (parking ticket? traffic violation?) and could not provide any clear evidence. The incident was supposed to have happened in Kakome (Vlore), but we never went there. The staff member was extremely unfriendly and pushy. First, he demanded 1,000 Lek in cash. When I asked for proof, he became even more insistent, and in the end he claimed he would keep 25 euros (2,500 Lek) from our deposit instead. He clearly tries to scam his customers. Do not book here. The man at the desk was extremely unfriendly, pushy, and even threatening – clearly a very frustrated person who hates his job. Fortunately, this seemed to be an exception, as most people we met in Albania were very friendly and welcoming. The car itself was fine mechanically, but it had many dents and scratches all over.
