One of the worst experiences I have ever had with an airline – American Airlines should seriously improve its service My experience with American Airlines was simply unacceptable. Unfortunately, this is not even the first time I have experienced serious issues with this airline. I was departing from Fort Lauderdale, and while I was still at the airport, I received a notification that my flight had been cancelled. The alternative itinerary offered was completely unreasonable: two stops and around 20 hours of travel time to reach Venice. This was already a very frustrating situation and a clear example of poor customer management. I immediately went to the information desk to understand what was happening, only to be told that the flight had not been cancelled at all. No clear explanation was provided. I was left having to question the airline about a cancellation notice that came directly from them. Eventually, after several checks, my original flight was restored and my tickets were reissued. I thought the worst was over. I was wrong. After arriving in Venice, my checked baggage did not arrive. I completed the entire lost baggage procedure and was informed that my suitcase had been left behind in Fort Lauderdale. Losing a bag can happen — mistakes are possible with any airline. The real problem is everything that happened afterwards. I was told that my baggage would be delivered the following day, or within two days at the latest. Several days later, I still have not received my luggage, and I am now forced to leave again without my personal belongings. The way American Airlines handled this situation has been extremely disappointing. I personally went to the Lost & Found office at Venice Airport and found an unacceptable situation: only one employee was handling American Airlines baggage issues, and this person was located inside the baggage claim area, meaning passengers arriving from outside the airport could not even access them directly to request assistance. Nobody was able to provide a solution. Nobody took responsibility. I was given a contact number for Aviation Services, but it was completely useless: no real information, no assistance, no solution. The only answer I received was that “my baggage had arrived in Venice” — a completely inadequate response for a customer who is still without their belongings. The problem is not the lost baggage itself. These things can happen. The real problem is the complete lack of support, communication and responsibility once something goes wrong. Confusing information, poor coordination, and an unacceptable level of customer assistance. American Airlines needs to seriously invest in employee training, internal processes, and, above all, customer service. For an international airline, the level of assistance I experienced was far below acceptable standards. Considering this is not the first time I have had problems with American Airlines, I will seriously reconsider flying with this airline in the future. A frustrating, disorganized and deeply disappointing experience.

There was a time when airlines carried more than souls across the sky. They carried grace. This week, beneath the fluorescent lights of Chicago, I stood before a red-haired gate agent whose eyes seemed already fixed upon another horizon. I searched them for the oldest language known to humanity—that quiet recognition that another soul was simply trying to get home. My heart labors at only twenty-eight percent, and I hoped compassion might find a place beside policy. Instead, I found a system that has mistaken algorithms for wisdom, policies for virtue, and profit for purpose. I remember another world. When I worked for America West in the early 1990s, we called for runners. We held gates. We upgraded weary travelers because kindness was worth more than the empty seat. We understood that every reservation carried a story invisible to the computer screen. Today, American Airlines feels like a great oak whose roots have forgotten the earth from which they once drew life. It has not fallen because its aircraft no longer fly. It has fallen because its soul no longer seems to. Empires rarely collapse in a single day. They erode quietly, grain by grain, as small mercies disappear, until one morning the towering cathedral is only stone, and no one remembers the hymns that once echoed through its halls. I bought my own ticket on United. They simply carried me home. It should never feel extraordinary when an airline remembers that the person in seat 18A is someone's child, someone's parent, someone's whole world. So today I lay my AAdvantage number to rest...not in anger, but in mourning. For an airline that once promised to connect people has become, to me, a monument to disconnection.

Air line is always giving flight credit and when you use flight credit, system never allow to use as is always to pay extra atleast 50% of flight credit. Flight credit is joke even air line cancel flight.

Customer service is terrible. I left my wallet at the gate. I immediately recognized it, but I had already left the terminal. I approached an agent. They told me to stand in one line then another agent tell me that’s the wrong line and for 2 1/half hours I’m waiting for somebody to go get my wallet only for them to tell me that it’s in Lost and Found and that I need to go see lost and found I go to Lost and Found and they tell me that they close at 3:30 and they do not open back up until 8:30 AM. I called customer service and speak with the supervisor and she hangs up on me and I wasn’t doing belligerent or loud.Baggage claim says that they are not liable for my item even though they have it American Airlines does not care about its customers and I will never fly American Airlines again!!! Eugene, Ashley, Damien and Logan did not help at all! I am stuck in LAX because of bureaucracy!

Auch nicht für Geld. Unclaimed ist fair. Claimed gibt das Mikrofon — nicht den Radiergummi.
