Muchas gracias a todos/as!!

We booked two seats in a single purchase, paying over €600 per person for a one-way, 13-hour long-haul flight. If you're going to charge premium prices for what should be a basic route, the least you can do is deliver a basic level of service. Iberojet didn't. **Seated apart despite booking together** Two passengers, one single booking, and somehow we ended up seated separately. No explanation, no proactive fix offered on board — we had to sort it out ourselves. **Boarding chaos** Overhead lockers were already a mess by the time we got, with barely any space left for cabin luggage. Basic boarding management that any airline should have under control. **"Blanket" — used loosely** For a 13-hour overnight flight, the blanket provided felt more like a thin carpet than actual bedding. Not exactly what you'd expect after paying over €600 for the seat. **Headphones? Buy your own.** This is 2026. Every airline — including the low-cost ones — includes headphones on long-haul flights. Iberojet doesn't. You have to purchase them onboard, and you can't even do that until almost 2 hours after takeoff. Once you finally plug them in, the sound quality is so poor you can barely make out dialogue in the movies. Paying extra for headphones that don't even work properly is a special kind of insult. **Catering: one sad meal and a 10-hour drought** For a 13-hour flight, we got a single meager meal — a piece of bread, no salad, no dessert, no fruit. Nothing. After that: nothing for roughly 10 hours. No water, nothing. Just before landing, they finally came around with a hard piece of bread and a coffee. On a 13-hour flight. At over €600 for one leg. **Crew attitude and cabin condition** To make things worse, the flight was completely full, so there was no chance of spreading out or finding a quiet corner to compensate for the seating mix-up. The crew's attitude didn't help: unfriendly and going through the motions rather than actually looking after passengers. By several hours into the flight, the bathrooms were visibly dirty — not something you expect to still be dealing with mid-flight on a "premium" long-haul fare. For reference, flying China Airlines to Beijing just a month earlier, the bathrooms stayed spotless the entire flight. **The comparison that actually stings** We've flown this Bangkok–Europe route several times over the years, with a range of airlines. Even China Airlines — hardly anyone's top pick — felt like a four-star experience next to Iberojet: efficient, caring crew, attentive service, drink rounds, help with boarding, an actual cabin that felt looked-after. Iberojet, meanwhile, delivers a long-haul experience with the service level of a short-haul low-cost carrier — except low-cost carriers are honest about what they are and price accordingly. And that's the real punchline: coming back from Asia, we flew three different low-cost carriers on various legs, and every single one let passengers sit together and offered complimentary drinks. If budget airlines in Asia can get the basics right, there's no excuse for a long-haul carrier charging premium prices to fall this short. Needless to say, none of this belongs in the same conversation as Etihad, Emirates, or Air France — that comparison isn't even close. **Bottom line:** if you have any other option for this route, take it. Paying over €600 to fight for overhead bin space, rent a blanket that feels like a rug, pay extra for broken headphones, and go 10 hours without water is not a long-haul experience worth repeating.

Pésimo servicio a cliente, deshonestos.
